From Southern League website:
Hamworthy United, who have been promoted to the Pitching In Southern League Division One South from the Wessex League, have made their first new signing.
And it’s a familiar figure in the Hammers` new division in winger Sam Griffin.
The 30-year-old made 28 appearances and scored 6 goals for new league rivals AFC Totton in 2021/22.
He re-joined the Stags in May 2020 from then-Southern Premier Division South side Blackfield & Langley.
He had joined the Watersiders from Poole Town in May 2019 having moved to the Black Gold Stadium in the summer of 2018 having scored 20-plus goals for Blackfield & Langley in 2017/18.
He also has previous Southern League experience with Wimborne Town after starting out with Christchurch.

When Matt Maybury came over to Bash Wimborne we’re looking at Signing Harry McGrath before signing Harry Morgan, Harry McGrath then went to Lymington before signing for Dorchester , He looked much fitter when he played against Wimborne this season, another good early signing for Bashley.

I’m sorry Gemma I disagree with you there, Sam Davidson isn’t a good defender, he doesn’t win headers like a defender should do, I’ve heard he’s not good in the changing room either.

Ok that’s fine, it’s all about opinions isn’t it 😊 I thought he was excellent when we got promoted under Matty, but I’m happy to wait and see who we bring in to play in defence this year. I’m not sure what he’s like in the dressing room and on the training ground so I can’t comment about that.

That’s why we love the game all opinions, I’ve heard from a few people he’s a bad egg and he was one of the three that got sacked for smashing up the changing room at the old ground. Who would you like to see in defence?

Who would you like to see in defence? Hmm that’s a good question, I mean obviously we have Ashley Wells already and it sounds from James’ interview that he’ll be at centre back with Oakley at right back. Just trying to think of good localish defenders that we might be able to sign and it’s not easy, maybe somebody with a bit of height and strength would be good. I’m not sure if he’s still playing but ex Weymouth and AFCB Stephane Zubar was at AFC Totton last year, his experience would be great or maybe another ex Weymouth and AFCB player Jordan Rose who Salisbury signed from Farnborough towards the end of last season. Do you have anyone in mind?

Jordan would be good but would he drop a level from Salisbury?? Josh Leslie smith had left Weymouth I see. After that I don’t know really

AFC Totton have signed Mick Carter, defensive midfield, former skipper of Gosport; Luke Hallett, central defence, played over 30 games for Gosport on loan from Forest Green last season; and Charlie Kennedy, central defence or midfield, skipper at Salisbury last season. All their publicity refers to a push for direct promotion next season.
