Southern League website 4 August: Two More New Hammers - Pitching In Southern League Division One South new boys Hamworthy United have made a couple of signings ahead of their Step 4 debut.
Aiden Shepherd and George Calverley have both joined the Hammers.
Shepherd is a 21-year-old Bournemouth-born forward who joined Hamworthy’s new league rivals and neighbours Wimborne Town’s under-13s in 2013, progressing through the age groups.
He dual signed with Wessex League Premier side Shaftesbury in 2019/20 and has also spent time another Wessex Premier outfit, Bournemouth FC.
In total, he made 40 appearances for Wimborne, scoring 6 goals.
Left-back Calverley started his career with Vanarama National League side Yeovil Town before joining Southern Premier Division South outfit Dorchester Town, mainly featuring for the under-23 team.
After making 18 first-team appearances for the Magpies, Calverley was loaned to Toolstation Western League Premier Division side Bridport and also spent time with Shaftesbury.

From Southern League website: Pitching In Southern League Division One South newcomers Hamworthy United have re-signed vastly experienced striker Dan Cann.
The now 36-year-old joins the Hammers from new league rivals Wimborne Town, where he had returned to in October 2021.
He spent a couple of seasons with the Magpies before joining then-Wessex League Premier neighbours Hamworthy in 2019.
It was at Southern Premier Division South outfit Poole Town where he really came to the fore and the big forward went on to have spells with Dorchester Town, Hungerford Town, Winchester City and Blackfield & Langley before originally joining Wimborne in 2016.
