Given the lack of training time with the new players, the first half was good... Rose in particular looked impressive all game. The less said about the second half, the better.
Hopefully, some of the new funds can bring in a centre back capable of tackling, passing and not being suspended for half the matches.

The team played well again first half and could have again been 2/3 up. Goals change games. Even with the new money it’s going to take time plus then like apc said training time is minimal due to games

First half was good, and it’s a shame that we didn’t take some of our other chances, Curtis went clean through on the left and could have scored, we also had a couple of clear headers from corners, Bragg right on the half time whistle. Second half was poor, it’s almost like you could feel the confidence drain once Hendon went in front.

It’s almost inevitable. How many times do we score early? How many times do we collapse second half? We allow crosses from out wide and fall asleep at corners.

But again 2 new players doesn’t solve the problem and like I said it’s going to take take to change it I’m sure.

WimborneFan I dont see how you can go round making assumptions like that and blaming Gemma. What proof do you have. We'd rather not have that sort of social media attitude on here. I think you owe Gemma an apology.

wimbornefan. I think you are out of order. Guessing is the same as making assumptions so best not to blame someone when you don't know who it is. Just say sorry and leave it at that

Graham's Match Report:-
Wimborne Town 1 Hendon 4 - Southern League Premier South - 4 Dec 2021
For a ninth successive home league game, Wimborne failed to record a victory at their brand new stadium. After a sparkling first quarter of the game, including a goal by Lewis Beale in the first minute, Wimborne were once more let down by a poor second half showing which saw Hendon score three times in 17 minutes.
Manager James Stokoe gave home debuts to loanees Xander McBurnie and Ahkeem Rose from Weymouth, dual-signing Jack Torniainen from Eastleigh, and returning fans favourite Louis Kellaway. Dan Strugnell partnered Tom Bragg in central defence, with Jez Bedford playing a more central role.
Following the news of the Club takeover earlier in the week, the influx of new players, and the encouraging performance at Gosport mid-week, optimism among Wimborne supporters was palpable. And it was heightened by that cracking start. Coming in from the right, Rose controlled the ball on his chest before flicking an inviting ball behind the Greens' backline. Lewis Beale was onto it in a flash and fired past Fred Burbidge to open the scoring.
And it could so easily have been two in the fifth minute. Bedford played Curtis Young down the inside-left channel. With Rose in space in the box, the flying winger went on his own only to be thwarted by the long legs of the visiting keeper. Rose the fulcrum of much of Wimborne's attacking play, was bringing others into the game with his clever dummies, flicks, and passes; the start was scintillating. Torniainen set Beale though on the right before his cross was headed wide by Bedford; and Bedford's dinked cross caused chaos in the Hendon area.
At the other end Tom Bragg headed Clarke's shot behind for a corner; then the young defender blocked another shot, before Billy Maybury did likewise. To home disappointment, on 28 minutes Hendon equalised. Centre-forward White, who had an excellent game, stole in front of his marker to head home a right-wing cross at the near post. Wimborne created more opportunities: Rose, coming infield from the right, made room for a shot; McBurnie drove low but wide from 20 yards; and Bragg's header was at a catchable height. It was an encouraging first half for home supporters. Could that elusive first win be just 45 minutes away? It was end to end on the resumption too. Kellaway made a perfectly-timed reverse tackle to dispossess the charging White; and Bragg got his body in the way of a Hendon shot. On 50 minutes the ball fell to Rose on the right of the visitors' box. And with the home crowd willing the ball into the net to give the striker a goal his first-half performance deserved, he pulled his shot wide of the far post. And that was as close as Wimborne would come to bagging a second. Bedford and Bragg shot from distance, but the Magpies were unable to create clear-cut chances.
Not so Hendon. On 71 minutes a corner from the right was headed by a Wimborne defender onto the back of a man in blue, and Brooks pounced on the rebound at the far post to give the Greens the lead. In their next attack Brooks made space for a shot but shanked his effort well wide. However, the respite would only last until the 75th minute. Semakula picked up a wayward Wimborne pass in the inside-left channel, strode forward and unleashed an absolute corker into the top far corner. Misery was compounded for the home side in the 86th minute. Kinali's soft cross from the right by-line was tapped in by substitute Crichlow.
Not for the first time this season, it was a game of two halves for Wimborne. That scintillating start became a distant memory the longer the game went on. Rose looked a class act in the first half, but he had little to play with in the second. Of course it takes time for new players to bed in, and we had four who've signed in the past week in the starting line-up. But two points from a possible twenty-seven is not what we anticipated when we began our first season at New Cuthbury.
Wimborne: Hall, Torniainen, Strugnell, Bragg, Maybury, Kellaway, McBurnie, Young (Mason 82), Bedford, Rose, Beale Unused subs: Arnold, Henry, Jamison, Langdon (gk)
Attendance: 301
Match stats:
Magpies Greens Goal attempts on target 4 7 Goal attempts off target 12 10 Corners 4 8 Fouls conceded 10 7 Offside 1 1 Cards 0 1Y

Hahaha.... there are some self-righteous people on here. Given the tone and language used in the twitter posts,I 'assumed' it was the same Gemma, too. Should I apologise, too, lol. Get a grip!!

To be clear, I do t believe a anybody cast aspersions toward anybody. The twitter handle @naughtypoole belonged to somebody with the name 'Gemma'. The post from that twitter account, which no longer exists by the way, bore a striking resemblance in tone and language composition to those posted in this forum. Nobody made an attack on anybody. The fella simply stated he thought it was the same person - as did I. And if you are all honest, more of you did, too! I'll defend the fella from all those who want to attack him. He made a reasonable assumption, that's all.
