Burbs is a fantastic signing - looking forward to him creating plenty of chances for Lewis, Harry and co, and frankly just watching him torment full backs is worth the admission money!

Another day another signing. I'm so excited for the new season I'm literally going to burst. And it's not even June yet. On a different subject so good to see forest back in the PL. I'm not a fan but for a lot of people of my age they were our second team growing up. Sorry, back to topic.

Luke Burbidge and Oakley Hanger Sorry yes forgot those, What’s your thoughts on the three new players Gemma? Very good signings, a big well done to James and all that made it happen. Harry Baker is a proven goal scorer and played a big part in Weymouth getting promotion before a good spell at Poole. Injuries interrupted his spell at Salisbury but he’s a really good signing. I’ve seen quite a bit of Ben Satterley at both Christchurch and Shaftesbury and he’s got a lot of promise, and works extremely hard for the team so it will be good to see him at Southern league level. And Tom was a good youth team keeper at AFC Bournemouth and I’ve seen him play in the Wessex league where he was one of the most promising young keepers in that division so again another really good signing. I’d like to see us develop him and have our own number one rather than rely on loan players in goal so I really hope he has a great season. The squad is looking good and possibly the area most needing cover now is at centre back so fingers crossed for a defender or two but definitely a really promising side coming together. |

I have/do watch a lot of AFCB youth games as my boys both started off there and my husband also did a lot of scouting for a national league team a few years ago. We do have a lot of players that played for AFCB youth teams, Burbs was there for years, Curtis Young is another that I can remember watching at AFCB a few years ago and Connal Morrison. Jez Bedford was at Portsmouth about the same time. As you know, sadly it’s not many that go on to get a pro contract so a lot of them go into the local leagues, obviously still good players. |

Do your kids play football for Wimborne at all? I see Wimborne put out a advert for a scout a while back did your husband not want to help the club out? |
