So the club have tonight announced Lewis beale is staying, good news I think, hopefully with a better team we will see him scoring lots more in a Wimborne shirt. Also Jordan Seabright in a goalkeeping coach, saw him play a few times for Weymouth and he looked very good Really great news that Lewis is staying, I was worried he would move to a club closer to his Portsmouth home. I also like his comments that he felt he owes it to the fans to stay and try and get promotion 👏 With regards to Jordan Seabright, can’t we persuade him to go in goal? He’d easily be the best number one in the league. He stopped playing for Weymouth due to work commitments but surely he’ll be at most games now as goalkeeping coach anyway. Your correct Gemma bealey did have offers closer to home but he’s enjoyed being at the club and working under us and wanted to stay and help us move forward again this season. Re Jordan, he still works most Saturdays and his involvement will be when he can with match days but primarily as a coach to work with our goalkeepers on training nights and when he can with games. He will also be looking closely at the videos of our games to help improve the keepers and plan training sessions. We’re still working away on players and staff and I’m sure there will be some more to announce somewhen next week |

Thanks for the reply James and the explanation regarding Jordan, makes total sense now why he can’t play.

On another note Toby has signed for Poole Town.
As much as I’d have loved to see him back, I’m confident that Bealey will score plenty next season for us.

Yes I was surprised at that one partly because killick was moaning mid season that poole's budget was such that he could attract or keep good players. But maybe it's right that we don't just take back players who did a good job for us 3 or 4 years ago. I'm enjoying the positivity on here and it feels like there's going to be a good vibe going into next season. I also think that James joining this forum and being so open with the fans is a huge positive. I feel we'll be far more United as a fan base starting the new season. |

Pity about Toby.He does have affection for this club and has sometimes been seen around the clubhouse. I did hear a rumour he would have signed if we hadn't been relegated

I’m sure I’ve heard that Toby goes to poole to watch games also, he’s played for poole, dorch and Wimborne before so as much as I’m sure he did best at Wimborne I can’t see how he can have a affection for one of these clubs when he’s played for all of them and now going for a second spell at poole.
As for the fact we’ve been relegated and him not coming that may be true but I would point the the finger towards the club as to why where now in the south west rather than the premier.

Article in echo- toby didn't return to wimborne due to our relegation and wanting to play at the highest level. So maybe we'll get him back for 2023/24.......

Jez Bedford has re-signed for next season. Really good news, I don’t think we saw the best of Jez this year but he’s been an excellent player in previous seasons for Poole Town and it will be great to see him get back to his best and tear into the division this season with goals and assists 😊👍

Respect Toby’s reasons for joining Poole… but personally think he’s made a tactical mistake… His response from the fans here and his involvement in the game from WTFC… would be so good for him… but I’m sure he knows his journey… but personally think he’s missed out…. a great opportunity.. Hey ho…
BTW what a great interview by Graham (as always)…. with James… what a brilliant opening up and inclusion of fans in development for next season..
This is what fans were looking forward… great you stuck with us James….with the full support of the new BOD… and indeed most of the fans…. and great to hear to Jez has signed.
Cant wait till next season…
