A Hammering - A Capitulation - A Humiliation - Call it what you will. This is becoming Unacceptable.
A Hat-Trick by Yate's Mathew Harding in a nil 5 defeat was embarrasing and at home too
Starting X1: Benfield, Morrison, Arnold (C), Young, Morgan, Bartlett, Beale, Kellaway, Jamison, Gidaree, Roberts.
Subs: Gunstone-Gray, Bosma, Mason, Bedford, McWilliams.
HT 0-2

I’m almost beyond words now, I don’t know how anybody can carry on defending this manager anymore. No guts, no fight, no spirit, no clue. It’s totally unacceptable and embarrassing to continue as we are.

Come on James, your time is up, do the honourable thing and walk away, there is nothing wrong in saying that you are no longer the best person for the job, these results are tarnishing your reputation and damaging the club.
Give someone else the time to clear the decks and build a squad capable of winning promotion next season.

Attendance 200 Other Results Salisbury 0 Tiverton 3 Taunton 2 Merthyr 1 Weston 1 Swindon 1 And because we could do with brightening up here is my effort which appeared in tonights matchday programme:- Yate is a commuter town and civil parish in South Gloucestershire, England, at the southwest extremity of the Cotswold Hills, 12 miles northeast of Bristol city centre and 98 miles due west of London. At the 2011 census the population was 21,603. The town is the birthplace of Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling, who lived in Yate between 1965 and 1969. The first mention of Yate is the existence of a religious house in about AD 770; Yate is also mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086. The name is derived from the Old English word giete or gete, meaning 'a gateway into a forest area. Yate is approximately 67 miles from Wimborne Minster. How does Harry Potter get rid of a rash? With quit-itch. Out of ten how much do you like Harry Potter About nine and three quarters How many wizards does it take to screw in a lightbulb? Two. One to hold the bulb. One to rotate the room. I've got fresh evidence and I'm going to get you a re-trial. We'll get another Judge and a new Court. I'm getting you a completely new deal and you'll be free. Just don't worry about anything. In the meantime, if you get a chance, try to escape ! A man bought a dress for his wife's birthday which was 2 sizes too small. He said I want you to slim down so I can see you in it. God invited the devil for conversations to find a way to resolve this dispute quickly. Satan, the devil, proposed a soccer game between heaven and hell. The devil, smiling, responded "Yeah, but we've got all the refs !

Another game like kings Langley, another heavy defeat.
I think James has got a few bits wrong but ultimately 90% of players are not good enough.

James is struggling at the moment the same as all the team are.
I think personally there are 5 a best that should be kept, and Gerrard as good as he is/was has only come back for the money he has no interest at being there.
I feel sorry for barts, morg and connal who are the only ones show any real level of effort or commitment

Give someone else the time to clear the decks and build a squad capable of winning promotion next season. this all could have been avoided ages ago... Unfortunately as I have said in the past, rather than wiping the slate clean the new board stayed with the old. This is what you get. I am not speaking from hindsight, I called this at the beginning. To think things will get better when we go down, is just keeping your heads in the sand. The club need a strong bod, that are decisive and have a thought out plan. None of which have we seen or heard

The problem I have is against the likes the MET and Gosport even last week. The players were good enough and capable, however last night and nearly other game in last 4 months it's the players that aren't good enough. Unfortunately there is one common denominator which remains the same and thats the manager. All the talk of promotion next year seems very far fetched. I would think its hard for even the most experienced manager to go from one extreme to another let alone James.
As Yogi said this isnt working out well for James. But the longer this goes on, I think more questions need to be asked of the new board. A lot of us said it at the time that the decision to give a nee contract was bad, but at this point it seems absolutely incredulous questions really do need to be asked.

I couldn’t agree more merley. Lots of players in this team can and have played well at this level and above for other teams and managers:
Benfield, Scorey and Beale - Weymouth and Eastleigh National league
Torniainen - Eastleigh and Dorchester
Morrison - Dorchester and Blackfield and Langley
Strugnell - Havant and Gosport
Bosma and Chugg - Gosport
Bedford and Bartlett - Poole Town
Young and Kellaway - Have played well for Wimborne at this level
All of these players now look a shadow of their previous selves, totally fed up, unmotivated and not willing to put up a fight.
Supplement that with loanees from AFCB, Weymouth and Eastleigh and I’m afraid there are no more excuses available, the manager has lost the dressing room

The problem with giving James a new contract is that the BoD have backed themselves into a very tight corner, considering that they are supposed to be successful business people I find this very hard to comprehend.
I cannot believe that they would reward failure in such a way in any other area of their business, yes budget can be used as an excuse but we have been told for weeks now that the budget is available and yet nothing has improved (in fact it has got worse) yet we are expected to pay to watch complete dross week in week out whilst pretending that everything will come up rosy next season with the same people in charge.
Why would James now resign and give up on what he is owed on the remaining 15 months of his contract when he can hang around and wait to be sacked (with the BoD obliged to fulfil the terms of his contract)
Do the BoD really believe that James is the best person to have at the wheel next season?, have they explored other options? Do they have a plan B? What's the feeling from the dressing room?

Agree Yogi, I said in a previous post. I thought it was a very bad decision to not change manager when they came in on a wave of optimism and it would lead to relegation, BUT the award of a contract and being financial liable to James and his assistant for another year is borderline negligent.
The previous board of have been given a lot of abuse by people on here and made scapegoats for the situation whilst the management were immune to critism, but I am starting to believe that the real issue here is the new board and their objectives. James is being James, with the best will in the world he is failing and unless the remit next season is total mediocrity he will fail again, unfortunately time and opportunity has proven this, however how board can suggest this decision is in the best interests of the club really is baffling. The reason we were offered was stability.. I'm not sure dropping down a division equates to stability, and look I hope there are more Truros than Yates between now and the end of season but if there isn't, then being relegated in such a way especially after what should of been a new dawn for the club with the ground, and board, will surely have a legacy. I really don't see how the situation as it is currently somehow miraculously turns 360 based on the hope we can just out bid everyone and sign the best players and go from relegation fodder to championship contenders in the league below.

Now and then we get beaten by the odd goal. But most of the time we are getting walloped now. Where is the consistency. This is trying the patience of even the most committed supporter.
I would say this is the worst result of the season. We lost 8-1 away to Hayes and 4 nil away to Kings Langley, but losing 5nil at home is even more unacceptable. It stems back to the original BoD who allowed us to lose just about all the first team squad except Arnie and Curtis.

Last night it was embarrassing be be a Wimborne fan. I have never seen a team play without any fight, guts, spirit and self pride.
Apart from Aaron from AFCB loanee we looked lost of ideas. Some had trouble in doing the basics. Tackle, compete or control the ball.
They dont ever seem to learn from thier mistakes, which I can except at this level but you must learn quickly.
The bigger danger is I cannot see it changing as some just don't seem to care just collect thier wages and go, they don't even put money behind the bar either.
Do they ever watch games back as a group and shown the mistakes and make players accountable for thier actions?
Next season will follow the same path unless changes are made that includes players attitudes to working much harder for each other, be a team NOT individuals

Relegation is nailed on now and the problem the club has now is that the match day experience(social club excepted) is just not cutting it. £12 to get in and a further £1 to park to watch your side lose and lose badly. During the recent run of away fixtures and postponements I've visited Hamworthy United a few times. Decent facilities with free parking and a good football side who may play us next season for just £7 and a very switched on social media on Twitter which responded to being tagged in posts with a personal thank you for turning up. Or £4 gets me in at Cobham to watch them batter someone 7-0 in the DPL. The club need to get a grip or the support will dwindle away next season.we've already lost our loudest cheerleaders in recent years from a Twitter storm, which seemed a pity. This season should have been the start of a new dawn but has been an unmitigated disaster!
