Another young academy player with probably very little experience of mens football having been 'sheltered' within the AFCB youth system. It's not what we really need at the moment but beggars can't be choosers and he is most welcome to join us on our way down a tier !

You should be thankful Wimborne can get this calibre of player from a pro club whilst in its current predicament. Just don't expect him to come in and save the world. He's decent - not a miracle worker. You don't remember a 'sheltered' 16yr old Billy Terrell keeping your club in the FA Cup? There's a reason these lads are at pro clubs. It's OK to admit you have no idea about football, lol. *** my bad, Billy was 17. So much more experienced, lol. ***

You need to take off those 'rose tinted glasses' regarding pro club academy football as you must know that very few of them ever make it beyond being third year scholars and are released back into the real football world, totally broken unless they can be auctioned off. Our team already has a number of them 'on board' who are helping us with our current position of being on the verge of relegation !

The problem is/was we’re at the highest level the clubs ever been at with what we were told is a not competitive budget so we have had to wheel and deal and take chances on players, morg for instance is someone who has excelled at this level, josh hanratty/Jamie Henry both didn’t. Getting players in now is proving difficult so any player in is a boost, Billy Terrell for us, Jake scrimshaw form pole, there are more that have proved good enough for this level

I think your find that 90% of our level and higher have been at academy level bazzer. What kind of players do you want the club to sign at this stage of the season?

'Beggars can't be choosers' was your phrase. I expect he'll be well chuffed with your half arsed welcome. Own what you said.

I think IMO you are being a bit harsh. I think the point that Bazza is trying to makes is that an academy player on paper without senior football possibly isn't what we need given the circumstances. Which I think any person from the outside look in would suggest is a reasonable observation. However it's probably a bit harsh without really knowing the player to make an assessment at this point. Plenty have come from academy's and been successful plenty has failed. Who knows? but you would have to think he's an improvement on what we have. But he certainly deserves a warm welcome and our support from the off.
I do think, however anyone on here who has a less than positive outlook on our current situation is dealt with quite aggressively. We are all supporters should, all want the same thing, but some disagree with the cost of getting there and the method.

Agreed Acadamy players probably are not what we need but I’m guessing it’s easier to pick one up than a senior player at another club at the moment and with players leaving for x y z reasons we need bodies. Also I think we all want the same thing but also need positive attitudes which a lot on here don’t have hence being shot down, I know the situation isn’t great, the board have backed the management why don’t the fans on here get behind the team now
