Fair play Mr fan Don't stop posting I understand Gemmas frustration. I wasn't there last night as I am away but will be at farnborough. Lets hope for a better show. quote author=" wimbornefan" source="/post/1272/thread" timestamp="1643189455"]I’m just giving my opinion that she/all fans should get behind the team. I’m sorry if I offended anyone, I thought this forum was to sort people’s views. Every time I post it’s shot down, so I won’t bother posting but will continue to support the team no matter how the performance/results are. God bless to you all. [/quote]

Admin you make some valid comments. I personally would be not that disappointed in relegation If we can't compete at this level without lobbing money at it..there you go.

I have to say wimbornefan, the last thing you should do is stop posting. Onto the game I didnt go watched the highlights and it made horrendous viewing, the evident, lack of organisation poor defending followed by poor reactions is a re-occuring theme irrespective of budget or personnel. We may get a better performance on Saturday, we may even get a result but, as I said in previous post people seem very very keen to have digs at the previous board, but honestly speaking, I will hold the new board more cupable for our relegation if they fail to act now. They can make statements about ambition and taking the club forward but they loose credibility with each week that passes that they don't act. As for the Club statement on twitter. I thought it was ridiculous. Where did you see highlights of last nights game as I can’t find any. Thanks and goodbye

What club statement on Twitter, the only thing I can see is an apology from Arnie....
If the club captain feels that he has to apologise on behalf of the players and management then it really is time for a change.
Are we now approaching the point where we have to accept our fate, save our pennies and start preparing for next season..

Yogi, the official club twitter feed quoted his his tweet adding its own sentiments.
As for your own thoughts I'm in complete agreement.

Interesting that Eastleigh have dismissed their manager we heard that they were underfunded in terms of being competitive but has paid thr price for poor performances and results, I believe he played forthright club before becoming manager.
Does anyone know if there is a post match interview I would like to hear from the manager not just the captain who didn't play.

As I mentioned on the "Match Preview" thread, I wasn't at the game so haven't produced a report or conducted the post-match chat. I haven't seen anything from Jack in the Echo yet. Graham

SCOTT ARNOLD APOLOGY ON TWITTER
"I Want to apologise on behalf of the lads to the @wimbornetownfc fans that made the journey tonight. We played a Brilliant Hayes side but we still could of given a much better account of ourselves. We all hurting and in this together. Thanks for your continued support!"

In terms of the apology FC my from Scott Arnold I can’t see the problem! Isn’t he overall captain and senior player. He has come out and said sorry to the fans that it wasn’t good enough. Having gone to the game and also having some players acknowledge that their performance wasn’t good or what they wanted to me shows that at least they care. If they had just walked off and left it what does that show? They don’t care, just here for a wage etc etc. They know they didn’t perform and I hope that there is a reaction on Saturday From what I gather Gerard only found out that he was Covid positive at about 2.30 in the afternoon. Not the best preparation. Some players travelled a significant distance to get there too due to work commitments. Not an excuse and I don’t think the players would use it as an excuse either. It was a poor performance especially after the Tiverton game. Let’s hope it was a one off and a combination of things. We have not been battered like this despite the poor results this season. This doesn’t happen every week! I’ll be at Farnborough still supporting the team. That’s what we do!!

Said this so many times. The management are just not upto the job, however nice as people they are.
Why everyone is clinging to the faint hope that things will improve. Its as if"lets get the old team back"and we will be successful again. We'll no it doesn't work like that. No clear vision, no style of play, no new ideas... Sad but true

Sad but true I don’t agree with this, from the games I’ve seen, the management have got the team playing some really good football, Merthyr with 10 men, truro, met police just to name a couple of the top of my head, so to say no style of play and vision I think is unfair, As for getting old team back, only brought back Louis which I think gives energy and work rate, Gerrard who’s one of the best local keepers about so good business, Billy is okay at times and that’s it from the old team apart from Curtis who stayed from when James took over so again not very factual. The biggest problem I see the team have is at cb, I think if that area was improved with some leadership and experience they would be okay.

Graham Thanks for clarifying Graham. DorsetHammer my issue wasn't with the captains tweet. It was the tweet from the club which I take issue with.
