Starting X1:- Mitchell, Morrison, Chugg, Young, Morgan, Bartlett, Beale, Bedford, Toniainen, Maybury, Bosma
Subs :- Arnold, Mason, Kellaway, Jamison, Cann
Harry Morgan scored our only goal to make it 2-1 early on
Reece Mitchell is our reserve team keeper. Not sure why Benfield didn't play as his suspension wasn't due to start until the Farnborough game.

8-1! I’m sorry but that’s an absolute embarrassment. Yes Hayes and Yeading are a good side but this is not the Dorset premier league, it’s the southern premier league and some of these players are paid decent money to play for the club.
I fail to see how anybody can now keep defending this manager, yes we won on Saturday but that can’t overshadow this disgraceful performance and result tonight. I’m fed up of hearing all of the excuses about the budget now, the team we put out tonight has plenty of additions since the squad we had to start the season with, Torniainen, Maybury, Bedford, Bartlett, Bosma, and it’s not like the rest of the team tonight were all youngsters either, Morrison and Young have played well at this level before, Harry Morgan has been the best player this season and Lewis Beale was playing for a national league team last season so there is absolutely no excuse for getting beat 8-1
It’s also not a valid excuse to say it’s because we had Reece in goal tonight as he made several saves, and we had a player in goal on Saturday but actually showed some guts and defended and protected him.
If we don’t change the manager then we are getting relegated, it’s as simple as that. The fed up family have all agreed in the car on the way home that that’s the last away game we’ll be travelling to until a change is made and some of them aren’t even that enthusiastic about the home games. A sad state of affairs.

The Twitter was done by James Langdon the reserve keeper who is out injured currently. He did a good job keeping up with all the goals! 😔

For the record the change of goalkeeper tonight made no difference to the score. Reece Mitchell made some great saves. However some poor defending let him and the team down. Hayes and Yeading were a good team and their No. 10 Francis Amartey terrorised our defence all game. He was really quick and could not be handled despite a change at half time which I can only assume was tactical to try and cope with him. Notable other players in their team was their No 4 who some may have seen playing in the cup against us at Richmond and Hampton and their goalie was the goalie who played in the Cup for Maidstone when we beat them on penalties Overall a very disappointing night. The players knew they hadn’t performed. Need a performance on Saturday to banish that memory!

A sad state of affairs. I wasn’t at the game last night due to work, and I’m not defending anyone when we have lost 8-1 even if Hayes are a good team but I thought managers come and go, players come and go but fans are forever, sounds like you’ve thrown in the towel when the team needs you most and if that’s the case the clubs better off without you and your family in my opinion. Go and watch Poole and enjoying going to a school field every home game.

I’m not sure why you feel the need to be so rude to everyone who dares to have a different opinion to yours, but I think it’s clear from your previous posts that if we don’t gain another point all season then that’s fine as far as you’re concerned.
You’ll have to excuse me that after a 5 hour round trip on a Tuesday night to watch our team lose 8-1 that emotions were a little high in the car on the way home, that’s because we care!
I didn’t say we’d given up on the team, I said that for the time being we won’t be making any more journeys to the away games for now as we aren’t enjoying them. 90 percent of the fans that come to the home games don’t go to the away games either, do they all need to be told they and their families aren’t welcome and that they should go and support Poole Town?

Of course I’m not saying if we don’t get any more points that’s fine, I said I’m not defending anyone so I agreed with you on that one, I’m just saying either support the team of go support someone else. I’m not being rude I’m just stating that, and I’m sure the players will probably read this forum is they need your support not constantly running them down, and when they win like the did Saturday it took over a day for you to give credit but again for a lose straight on at them. 90%of fans don’t go your correct but they don’t also batter everyone on here do they. Just support the boys

I’m just giving my opinion that she/all fans should get behind the team. I’m sorry if I offended anyone, I thought this forum was to sort people’s views. Every time I post it’s shot down, so I won’t bother posting but will continue to support the team no matter how the performance/results are.
God bless to you all.

And no please don’t stop posting, of course we are all here to share different views and opinions and there is no doubt that you are a very loyal supporter as we all are, and by the way I would never go and support the enemy Poole Town 🤣 Have a nice day 😊

I have to say wimbornefan, the last thing you should do is stop posting.
Onto the game I didnt go watched the highlights and it made horrendous viewing, the evident, lack of organisation poor defending followed by poor reactions is a re-occuring theme irrespective of budget or personnel. We may get a better performance on Saturday, we may even get a result but, as I said in previous post people seem very very keen to have digs at the previous board, but honestly speaking, I will hold the new board more cupable for our relegation if they fail to act now. They can make statements about ambition and taking the club forward but they loose credibility with each week that passes that they don't act.
As for the Club statement on twitter. I thought it was ridiculous.

Lets hope this result was a blip [ perhaps more of a Blop] All teams have them. This must be our worst result for many a year. Lets hope it doesnt affect the players confidence too much. Perhaps we need a team Psychologist?
If you look at the short history of Hayes and Yeading they have played at step 1 in the non league and have gone down to step 4 in the past, but now seem on their way back up. They once got beaten in a relegation battle by 7-1 by Staines Town [ remember them when they were in the same league as us and got relegated]
So there is every chance we can re-group next season and press for promotion. [ Sorry, I'm assuming relegation is a distinct possibility] But who knows if we will have the same Management team, and its obvious the team needs strengthening. Or do we just find our natural level without the imposition of financial implications. Lets face it running a football club nowadays generally means a certain amount of money has to be 'invested' and the amount put in is 75% of the level where you want to be.
Gemma's commitment and loyalty to the club shines through, so her extreme disappointment is understandable. This is the first season in living memory where the club has been in this position so its hard for many to take. And of course I understand wimbornefan's views too but he has a different way of coping with our situation. Both views should be respected providing it doesnt get personal. I must say though that the biggest insult to me as a Magpie fan would be to tell me to go and support Poole Town!
