Members of the old Fans Forum may recall that questions raised were frequently answered by then Finance Director Lee Merrifield, under the user name "BoD". With that no longer an option, our only way of asking questions was at the recent Forum in the clubhouse.
However, I'm pleased to say that Wayne Jones, Club Secretary, has suggested doing a regular video interview in which he will answer supporters' questions. Initially this will be monthly, probably at the beginning or end of each month.
If you have a question you'd like raised, please either post it on here or send it to me by email: magpies.graham@gmail.com. Could you let me have them by Friday this week, please?
I'll then collate the questions, arrange a meeting with Wayne, and have the interview video posted on the website.

Great idea, however will you be asking all questions posted here or will they be filtered to ensure only the ones the club want to answer are asked?
I will start the ball rolling with...
Why do the club block people's Twitter access.?
Why do the club have the second lowest playing budget in the league when it was well known that this budget wouldn't be suffient to be competitive in this league.?

I agree that this is a good idea but I’m not sure we will get honest answers. The fans forum ad mentioned did answer the question to the budget, supporters that attended and passed on to others have said that the budget in place was set the same as last season which seemed to be competitive, this year other clubs via different avenues have larger budgets which wasn’t know about by WTFC and also the unknown running costs of the new club etc all took effect on what the budget was set at.

For the BoD to say that they were not aware that other clubs were increasing their playing budgets is complete fabrication... If you read the post from Gambo you will see that the management team made them aware of this fact and informed the BoD that it would be a struggle to be competitive within the confines of the budget.

In answer to Yogi's question ...
But first a little background. I only started doing filmed interviews in the summer when, as far as I was concerned, communication from the club management to supporters needed improving. As you'll have seen, I'm just an amateur at this, but from feedback received it appears to have helped.
The idea of doing a filmed Q&A only came up this morning, so I'm still thinking through the best way of handling it. In my opinion, you receive a better quality of answer when someone has time to consider the question first. I'll collate all the questions, and I've already also received some by email, and submit them to Wayne before the filming. And that will give him time to ask someone else at the club if they're in a better position to know the answer. My current thinking is that I will ask all the relevant questions, but may have to prioritise if lots are asked.
Let's give it a go, and then reflect on how the process can be improved.
It's a step in the right direction, and it's great that the initiative for this has come from a club official.

This is a positive move by the club to agree to this so we must be positive as well. Its no good deriding it unless we give it a try. I would suggest questions are not put on here but send to Graham as requested. We shall see how sincere the club hierarchy is about interacting with fans. I have sent a couple of questions to Graham myself. Obviously Business sensitive questions wont get an airing but we must trust in Graham's integrity to get the right questions answered. We shall see over time if we feel the club is being honest and profound to fans.

As the Administrator and the person who set this Forum up I think this is a great idea. Lets give it a chance and see how it goes.
The original idea for a Forum was because I work abroad a lot of the time and wanted to get info about the club all in one place. I didnt intend it to be antagonistic toward the club but hoped it would open up more dialogue between fans and the Board. There was obviously a great deal more antipathy than I had anticipated. So this is an excellent opportunity to try and repair the divide - albeit that many of us feel the wrong people are in charge and not taking us in the right direction.

Will Graham be able to challenge an answer or will it be a point of 'that's the answer, next!'.
Will he be able to dig deeper, naturally confidential financial issues cannot be aired in public but what you don't want is lip service to fan's issues.

I was just about to write this post when Yogi beat me to it ...
Thanks for the questions on posted here and by email. I've compiled them under 6 headings: - playing budget - player sponsorship - pitch problems - social media - fans forum online - FA Vase VP club.
The full list of questions, which I've sent to Wayne, is attached. It's likely that the Q&A session with Wayne will be on Thursday (2/12).

Great Work Graham. Just by looking at those questions they are all very relevant if you are a supporter. So the odd member on here who wonders why we are asking, and reckons we should should just get on with being subservient fans, must realise we can all get involved in different democratic ways.
It will certainly be very interesting to see what sort of accurate and open replies we get to the questions, and in fact what questions the club is prepared to consider anyway.

Perhaps a question that Lee can answer as he said no more twitter blockings. But will all people who have been blocked, be unblocked?

That's the plan but I must admit I'm not sure who has been blocked so if anyone wants to post on here the twitter details of anyone who has been blocked I can then pick up with the club to start the unblocking so to speak.
