I’m not saying I’m not behind them, just I didn’t like the way they played at Hamworthy. Can you honestly answer that that was a good performance? Did we get the ball down and try and make the pitch big against 10 mens and stretch them to find space? Can you honestly say you thought we would win at any point even with the extra man? It was as poor as it has been at any point and surly you can’t argue with that. Sorry but this is absolute rubbish. The ball WAS played in the floor and as for as poor as any point this season, the sholing, melksham and willand displays say otherwise. Would you have taken a point before the game, given our away record of played 4, lost 4? I know I would. Honestly this forum is becoming a laughing stock. People are just looking for excuses to be negative about the new management team and how they set up the team to play. I supported James and his team but they've gone and true wimborne fans need to get behind the new guys.

We picked our first point up on the road last night against one of the best teams in the league with a 19 years old in goal, and people are on here are moaning that the football’s not very good! Tim’s been here for 5 minutes. The football played under James and Mark also wasn’t very good, which is why they eventually lost their jobs. This forum is in danger of becoming a cesspit for negative comments, last night was a positive step in the right direction!

Apologies for having a opinion that’s doesn’t fit with others on here, I’ll stop commenting if it’s offending people, I just don’t see a draw again 10 men for 50 mins and also being in front a good result.

It’s obvious that some on here still haven’t got over James leaving and therefore really don’t want to give Tim any praise, some of you even wrote off the 2 new signings before they had even played. Last night was our first away point of the season so far! Let’s take it as a positive, particularly as it was against one of the leagues strongest teams. The new manager has had just 3 games! There are already signs of improvement but still much to do, let’s give Tim some time to create his own team and put his stamp on things. I have to admit it, its rare but I agree with Gemma ( and yes now you can see I am not in fact Gemma DorsetHammer ) I saw much to be encouraged by last night, yes there is room for improvement, particularly in match fitness and being able to sustain the physicality of a match like that until the end, you could see the players were hurting and just holding on to get that point at the end when you could argue they could have been pushing for the win having got that extra man on the pitch. More importantly I saw a glimpse of the fight and desire in them which has been lacking for a while. It wasn't ideal losing Asa right at the start of the match when we'd seen a taste of what he can do in the last match, I thought Ben did well in goal also. Contrary to many peoples views on here I saw some good football played at times too, having gone in with trepidation worrying what the score line would be against one of the best teams in the league I left feeling we could have actually snatched the win which yes was disapppointing but by no means 'dreadful' or 'poor' as quoted by others on here! There are too many people who want to criticise no matter what, Rome wasnt built in a day....

We would have taken a 1-1 draw before kick off all day long ? Once again we were second best in the first half but came out in the second half the better team for 20mins, what a finish from Harry Baker to give us the lead ? Unfortunately once Jez & Satts got Substituted we were second best, once they had equalised we were lucky to hold on too the point, team never looked strong enough in the final minutes we were extremely lucky to hold on for the point ?

I will reiterate what I said. Hysteria seems to be the order of the day on here. No criticism of the management, no agenda. Thought it was an awful game of football . Way too early to be criticising anyone, not my intentionl

No hysteria from my side, just extreme frustration at what seems to be a continual theme of negativity on this forum whether it be the team, playing style, choice of new manager, off the pitch activities you name it. We've got a superb ground, great clubhouse, over 500 in the ground on Saturday (in the 90s when I first started going, over 100 was decent for a league game) and the team has started picking up points. Remember we lost five in a row in all competitions before Saturday. Yes you can argue we should've done better against ten men but many on here are well over the top in what they're saying about the performance level. It just seems nothing is ever good enough. Appreciate what you've got, the club overall has never been in better shape.

Agreed. Once Satterley comes off, we seem to lose the energy and legs in midfield. Fitness seems off as Dawn mentioned earlier.

I agree that it wasn't a great game, but Wimborne certainly played the better football, with Totton launching it long to Rendell almost from kick off, which continued in the second half when they were down to 10 men.
Maybe we should have won particularly with the advantage of the extra man but it wasn't to be, so a point on the road it is. I suspect we would have accepted that before kick off, so let's try to look at it as a positive against a team with probably the biggest budget in our league.
For me, the ref was awful from start to finish. Maybe he would say he tried to play advantage to keep the game flowing, but by doing so a lot of fouls were ignored or missed, leading to the obvious frustration of the players and the red card.
Let's put this behind us and hope for 3 points Saturday please!

A very fair minded report. Very honest comments from their manager.
