In trying to find out the Ladies fixtures I see their home ground is shown as the 'Royal Life Stadium', 16 Ainsley Road, Wimborne, which I presume is New Cuthbury. Have we found a new sponsor for the Stadium, or is it just for the when the Ladies are playing ? www.dorsetwomensfootball.co.uk/Womens%20League.html

Royale Life claim to be the biggest suppliers of bungalows in the UK. In actual fact its actually Park Homes - not bungalows. They have several parks in this area including the New Forest and Poole. Jane McDonald was advertising them on TV. They only have a 2 star rating on Trustpilot.
I believe they cannot use the name Royal - without the e if they have not been approved by a Royal connection
Companies House list several companies which begin 'Royal'
There is a Royal London which is a life insurance, Pensions and Investment Company Also Royal & Sun Alliance Life and Pensions Ltd & Royal Life (Unit Linked Assurances) Ltd
Confusing isn't it !

The Club has left Cuthbury behind. Cuthbury is a small local area comprising the old ground and the field down to the river and what was the allotments site now almost finished being built on behind Victoria Rd. The first phase was named Cuthbury Gardens and the recently demolished flats were Cuthbury Close. You cannot shift Cuthbury 1.5miles east for old times' sake. Cuthbury was and remains behind the hospital.

I completely agree with this post, the name Cuthbury should have been consigned to history when the club moved grounds, however I believe that several names were considered and put to a supporters vote with New Cuthbury being the option that most supporters voted for. If the stadium is to be sponsored and known by the sponsors name then we need to ensure that this is what it is called and not revert back to calling it New Cuthbury. BTW as you correctly state the development at Cuthbury is nearing completion and on a recent visit around the site it was disappointing to see that there are no references to the football club or its history in any of the road names.

You may be right Yogi although I thought the old BoD, and them alone, pulled their choice of one out of the hat. I have no recollection of a supporters vote. There may have been supporter's suggestions submitted but were deemed unacceptable. As a gesture, it could be called Leighbury to retain half the old name?

I quite agree whats been said about the stadium name. What should have happened was say a shortlist of suggestions and then a vote by supporters. But unfortunately this didnt appear to happen. It was an autocratic decision by the then Board and I understand the suggestion by the Chairmans wife was adopted. This was typical of the old BoD with how they ran the club. Yes , its been mentioned about the lack of any name reference to the old ground. Over a hundred years of history just forgotten. Did the old BoD [ yes them again] not ask if there could be a street name to commemorate the history of the site ? I'm surprised the local council havent taken some action about it themselves. They are ultimately responsible for the final decision in naming streets. See this article www.nottinghampost.com/news/heres-how-new-streets-housing-931074

Could someone from the club (Lee) please comment on this thread and either confirm or deny that Royale Life are the stadium sponsors, and that the stadium will be known by the sponsors name.
