DillusionedMagpie… I for one do not hang any dirty washing out in public… But… support the club and our team management… they are the right guys, although others may disagree, we didn’t do well enough against a very disciplined side (and appallingly officials)… We’ll come back stronger, James and his team will review our on field efforts and adjust accordingly… for that I have no doubt… The Club… both on and off the pitch… is in a great position… just don’t screw it up with back stabbing and negative comments… that will get us nowhere… as for the Curry Night… income generator for sure… but the answer is in the title.. Wimborne FOOTBALL Club… fixtures change cup runs change… just let’s deal with, rather than do the blame culture troll… As a Club we’re heading in the right direction… not there yet… but getting closer…. Still sad about Claire position… do know all the facts… but just recognise the impact, professionalism and organisation that she has introduced since she’s been in post… BTW… anyone else think she looks like Linda Lusardi…? With all due respect mowerman you brought it up. I knew nothing about it until your post. Now myself and others are wondering what the full story is. You paint a picture of discord behind the scenes and tell us changes are afoot. You tell us there are negative comments and backstabbing. Well - talk about stoking the fires. You lit the flame of gossip so its only human nature to enquire about more.
Perhaps you should never have brought it up in the first place

I tend to agree. I know there's been some controversy over the curry cancellation but don't know the facts and frankly don't want to know as it's none of my business. Secondly who is backstabbing? People who called out the inept display yesterday? Give me strength, We are all football fans, we pay good money supporting the club, We are entitled to express less than positive views when the performance on the pitch isn't up to scratch, given the investment that has gone into the squad this season. I'll still be there at melksham on Saturday but show me a football forum where people don't moan after a 4-0 home drubbing!!

Saturday’s are not the excitement they should have been so far this season, why shouldn’t we post our views and opinions, it’s not been good enough so far ? I will also be at the game on Saturday with everything crossed, let’s hope for the right result we are all looking for 👍🤍🖤⚽️

Football on the pitch will be the winner… James’s so much support.. your players are focussed and committed…. Off the pitch is important, but doesn’t dwarf our football team..The Club house will survive.. but let’s all pull together…. Just sad on the Claire front and negative comments.. .. For goodness sake support the teams … and the Club House and the bar… 🤪

The less said the better. Without digging people out there’s changes needed to the playing staff. It’s clear we have a couple not up to it. Anything but 3 points on Saturday and then I start to look if the management are up to it.
Our 3 league wins have come against very weak sides. I don’t care who you’re playing, if you’re aim is promotion then losing 0-4 to anyone at home in the league is unacceptable.

The thing about Saturday's defeat is that Sholing are by nomeans an outstanding side and on the day, they had five players, including their top striker missing.
What they are however is well orginsed - particularly at the back, they play to their strenghts and put away their chances in front of goal.
Unfortunatly, these are not things you can say about us. Things have to improve very quickly if we are serious about promotion.

On a brighter note, our attendance of 466 was better than all but one crowd in the league above and means three of our four matches this season at home in the league have pulled in over 400. We're even pulling in better gates than a couple of national league north/south clubs. So I don't want to hear any more comments about little wimborne not being big enough for step 3!!

We just need the quality of football for step 3, unfortunately you don’t get three points for getting in a good crowd ?
