The visitors already look a good bet for promotion having won all their 5 games so far. Even with 5 of their normal starting line up missing they easily overcame a lack lustre Wimborne Side, with 2 goals in each half.

Well… I’m not sure what to say… beaten by a better organised and committed side.. and a three man officials… that really changed a game… How can a player tell a referee to F off and get away with a warning.. and then a few minutes later score a goal.. and throughout the game hoodwink the Referee with his dramatic antics. Hate to admit I’m an ex referee and to see the inconsistency we saw today from a much higher ranked referee then me… makes me so frustrated… Now for the team… as I’ve said in so many occasions .. I’m a half full type of a guy.. and support of the team and management throughout… But guys… forgive me…but you let us supporters down today… you’ll come back much stronger I’m sure… They outplayed us, out performed us and frankly bullied us throughout the game… High balls and their 10ft tall defender (🤪) who didn’t lose a header in all 90 minutes… and we didn’t learn… keep it on the ground and we were competitive… I’m a supporter .., but I did feel let down this afternoon with the efforts on the pitch… Connal… keep in there my friend… the manager knows best… but .. Perhaps you could have made a difference… And then … to see Jordan Rose didn’t get man of the match… well…..what can you say… Off the pitch how disappointing to hear that our Clubhouse is due to see a change… Claire… you have done a brilliant job and thank you.. and BOD please get a hold of this… we need people like Claire to take us forward… negative comments and backstabbing behind the scene.. really don’t help the club…at all… but I can’t emphasise what a positive input she has been for the Clubhouse….. Hopefully our fortunes will change both on and off the pitch… but the politics I’m hearing off the pitch… seriously need addressing….

That was a very poor performance today. We let in soft goals and did not have a clue how to break down a team from our own division who had 5 first team players missing. Shocking.
This was as bad as anything last year; when at least we could blame the lack of a decent playing budget for that league. No excuses this season. If we are serious about promotion this season, things have to improve very quickly.
As I said on another thread, I feel sorry for the people who had to chose the man of the match today.
I was really looking forward to this game but came away really disapointed and worried for next week away against another good side. We can not continue like this.

Yes we lost today and it wasn’t pretty viewing but being able to break them down, have you not see. The stats more chances created, just couldn’t convert them.

How many times have we read this over the last 12 months ?

How many times have we read this over the last 12 months ? We had some good chances today but they were not taken, goals change games and if we score when we are on top then it’s completely different game. 6 on target 5 blocked and 5 off target, it’s not like the team are not creating. Maybe letting bealey bakes and hoey go and getting other forwards in will make a difference

I think it's more than that. Every time a team hits us on the counter you feel we will concede and we are just so inconsistent from game to game in our performance level.
I agree with Ash. Yesterday was harder to take than any of our home defeats last season because we knew due to budget we couldn't compete with the likes of Farnborough and taunton. This season we have a good budget and we've recruited well but we were comfortably thrashed by a side we would hope to at least compete with. Yes we are still in a play off position but two of our three wins have come at home against the bottom two teams and no points away yet.
Much to do I feel. Onward to Melksham!

DillusionedMagpie… I for one do not hang any dirty washing out in public… But… support the club and our team management… they are the right guys, although others may disagree, we didn’t do well enough against a very disciplined side (and appallingly officials)… We’ll come back stronger, James and his team will review our on field efforts and adjust accordingly… for that I have no doubt… The Club… both on and off the pitch… is in a great position… just don’t screw it up with back stabbing and negative comments… that will get us nowhere… as for the Curry Night… income generator for sure… but the answer is in the title.. Wimborne FOOTBALL Club… fixtures change cup runs change… just let’s deal with, rather than do the blame culture troll… As a Club we’re heading in the right direction… not there yet… but getting closer…. Still sad about Claire position… do know all the facts… but just recognise the impact, professionalism and organisation that she has introduced since she’s been in post… BTW… anyone else think she looks like Linda Lusardi…?
