Goals by Harry Morgan[67] and an opportunist goal by Ashley Wells [79] [ or will it be an own goal by the keeper ] who caught the keeper out from long distance seeing him off his line.
Att 419
We are now 5th on 9 points. Sholing [ Next weeks opponents at home] are top and unbeaten on 12 points

A win's a win is how I would describe this one.
First half was hard to watch, zero tempo from us and looked like we were just going through the motions. No rush at all from us to get the ball back in play. Granted, the ref didn't help. Second half was much the same up until the red card, but that seemed to give us a platform to kick on and that we did!
Slightly concerning that our strikers don't seem to be scoring but we'll take the positives and another 3 points at home. The management and players need to find a way to start games better and quicker from what I've seen this season.
Hopefully for the first time this season we can put two performances in a row together and get something from a very hard game on Saturday.
Onwards & upwards.

Can’t really disagree with your comments, the team selection was a strange one for me ! Dorchester away even though we lost a enjoyable game the team that night was probably the best team I’ve watched for Wimborne this season, shame we’ve not been brave enough to carry that team into the league games ?

I watched the game against Bristol manor farm and wasn’t that the same line up against a team that’s in your league? Why was Saturday game selection strange?

In all fairness to James, I thought the team selection was spot on. They were poor so use attacking wing backs, makes sense against weaker sides. I do think that given the opposition this weekend that Oakley Hanger may need to be bought back in but tough on Jez as he was superb but think a more defensive wing back for that one, but this year we have a squad which is strange writing.
Was surprised to see Conal dropped but with an actual squad this year it’s a luxury that James can do.

I thought he’s very attacking having watched him at Dorchester and now Wimborne. Also watching James interview I’m sure he said both where rested rather than dropped.

Not so much a defensive wingback but certainly more defensive. I think a lot more defending will be done against Sholing than Larkhall and for that reason I'd go with Hanger.
Now we've got a squad I think we can afford to pick players suitable to the game and opposition. It's not always wise to just keep the same eleven because they've won a game, that's lazy management in my opinion.
Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't it the same 11 that beat Cinderford (W) that then played the next game against Exmouth (L)? It certainly was the same eleven that played Dorchester (L but superb performance) that then played Bristol (L and an awful performance). It doesn't always work is my point and I think a team selection based on individual games and opposition is the way to go.
This isn't criticism as I don't get to as many games as I'd like so haven't seen all the games, but they're my thoughts.

Picking the same 11 because a team wins a game clearly doesn’t work as you pointed out, and Barry comment about being brave enough to pick the same team that beat Dorchester falls down here with that being done with the performance against Bristol. We are all managers on the side line and will never agree with team selections etc that why we live this game

I wasn’t at the Bristol Manor Farm game so can’t comment on the team ! the team that we put out at Dorchester which we lost was as I said in my opinion the best team performance so far this season, the team against Larkhall was lucky to get the three points playing against a extremely average side, let’s wait and see this weekend against the top of the league side, if we play like we did in the first half on Saturday we won’t be going in at halftime 0-0 ?

The team that played against dorch and lost was the same team minus Harry baker and that team didn’t play very well against Bristol manor.
I’m sure I’ve seen ex players and managers who are now pundits say if you an find a way to win when your not having a good game you won’t go far wrong, isn’t that what the team did against larkhall?

I’m not sure we would be having these discussion if we had got something out of the away losses at Exmouth and Westbury, we beat Cinderford, Lymington, Larkhall all at home two of the bottom teams one mid table !
The toughest test coming on Saturday against Sholing who I’ve watched twice this season they look a very good team which we will need to be at our best to keep our home record going ?
We definitely have the players to compete against teams like Sholing, let’s keep our fingers crossed everyone brings there A game to get a result 🤍🖤⚽️🤞

Every team will lose games in this league, do we have a Devine right to win away at Exmouth or westbury then?
