Hi all
Due to circumstances beyond our control we have had to cancel our forthcoming curry and quiz evening on the 5th October. Many thanks for your understanding.
Best regards Steve Rimmington

That is a real shame ! I'm sure it could go ahead alongside the WTFC reserve team game v Shaftesbury FC Reserves as it it's not like many people will want/need access to the bar ffs !! Which clown at the club made the decision that a DPL reserve team fixture would generate more income for the club than the excellent and well established supporters club event - they clearly need a lesson in economics !

Without being party to the facts if that is the reason its extraordinary. The quiz is an excellent evening that is managed superbly by everyone involved. Let's hope there is a new date soon.

Hi All
Quite a few people have voiced their extreme disappointment in the fact that the curry and quiz night has been cancelled. The reserve game, which was organised considerably later than our quiz night, unfortunately has to take presidence therefore we had no option other than to cancel. We really hope we can arrange one as soon as possible but it now appears very difficult to find suitable dates. These things need a fair amount of planning and we canβt just host them at the drop of a hat. Thankfully all those that have paid have now been refunded and we hope to keep everyone informed as soon as a new date can be found.
Best regards Steve Rimmington (WTSC Chairman)

So any future events could themselves be cancelled. The club should be supporting the SC. Are there no days when the club will guarantee the SC can hold an event. ?
The only alternative would be for the SC to hold events away from the clubhouse, as long as its not on a first team matchday. But the club would lose out on bar revenue. Considering what the SC has already contributed to the club financially this is a poor state of affairs

Any chance of any reasoning from the club on this?

Its a football club so surely football matches take priority ? Just imagine telling the league we have to cancel the game because we have a quiz night , bingo or jumble sale etc, we would get a fine! This did happen before with a AFCB youth match clashing with the quiz night, so it seems that another lesson has not been learnt, maybe chose a Sunday night which would be a quiet time in the club house, Or simply move the quiz 24hrs if this clash does arise .

Hi all
The only problems we are experiencing is a lack of volunteers to help with events due to a dwindling number of committee members. Please feel free to contact me if you know of anyone that would be willing to boost our numbers to help us along the way. Our secretary/interim treasurer is also standing down due to other commitments therefore anyone that can help in this instance would be a big help.
Best regards Steve Rimmington (WTSC Chairman)
