This applies to everyone on here but most have already spoke to me over the years you seem to comment on here but won’t speak to me personally, The lads do understand the game plan but doesn’t matter how good the squad is or the manger some game you lose your not entitled to win any game. Unfortunately whoever goes on to win and get promoted will lose games. If we get a win tomorrow will you be on here to congratulate the team and my staff for the win or just wait until we lose again?? Cheers Of course, I want you to succeed and win. I was very complimentary during pre-season and of the squad and backroom staff that you have put together but with that and the fact that we are in a lower division comes higher expectations, 1 win out of 3 and the manner of the defeats isn’t a good start you must agree James? Anyway I’m a fan at the end of the day and when I’m at the games I’ll be right behind you all as usual for the whole 90 minutes but at the end of the day I’m just being honest and call it as I see it. Agreed I had I’m mind that we would like more points than we have after 3 games but as you know when you came and watched the Exmouth game the pitch as awful and didn’t allow the football we want to play, we didn’t play badly and Their manager said he couldn’t believe they beat us and it was a smash and grab win for them. Westbury first half yes we didn’t perform well but second half we crated some good chances and we’re well on top until we went down to 10 men through a injury and conceded late on due to that, we can’t help making changes to try and win a game and then picking up a injury. The lads do read this forum and yours and other continued criticism of myself and the team doesn’t do their moral any good.

Ok well thanks again for taking the time to come on here to reply to me and for your honesty, that certainly gains a lot of respect.
And I’ll apologise if any of my comments have offended yourself or any of the lads as that has never been my intent. Football at any level comes with a certain amount of pressure to get results and if/when we are winning regularly then morale will be higher for both players, staff and supporters.
My frustrations come purely from a deep passion and care for the football club and after such a disappointing last season, we all hoped to have hit the ground running and be flying towards the top of the division, particularly as we now have players in the squad that have actually won the league above this one.
Anyway good luck for tomorrow, let’s hope for a good performance from the lads and 3 points.

OMG - Would you believe it…. I’m so looking forward to see Gemma and if there really are any others …eat their words… And hope you take the chance to seek James out 2moro… although your comments last season would suggest that you won’t .. But cheer up Gemma… it’s only 119 days to Christmas… I’m sure you’ll be cheerful then….

It’s amazing that 7 or 8 people can express their frustrations/disappointments on here and yet it’s just me that is classed as the trouble maker and singled out. What is the point of this forum if you’re not able to express an opinion or speak out differently from the usual crowd? When we play well and win I say so and when we don’t and should be doing better I say so, that’s what supporters do at all football clubs, celebrate when they win and get frustrated when they lose? I don’t think it should be a criteria that if you disagree with the majority that you must meet them at the game to explain yourself. This is an Internet forum for discussion is it not?

You’ve never offended me Gemma I’ve been around football long enough to know how it works and what the responsibilities are of being a manager, Having played over 500 times for the club and travelling from Eastleigh where I live for 14 years, from working in Cornwall and London to midweek games I doubt there are many that feel the loses as much as I do. Yes we all want to win every game but like I said earlier nothing is won in august, and like the year we got promoted it is all about being in contention and then peaking at the right time. I really do hope you come and say hi and if you’d like I will even invite your 2 boys into the changing room before the game to meet the team.

This is a fans forum and people should be free to express their view as paying customers as would be the same in any business (provided they aren't rude, abusive or disrespectful of others). Personally I wasn't happy with the performance on Saturday but understand it's only game three and we have a new team so it may take time. However we have to allow a range of opinions on here whether you agree with gemma (or others) or not. To shut people down who hold a different view is not democratic in my opinion and not healthy for the future of this forum as people will just not bother posting for fear of a backlash.

Luckily I’ve managed to get to all 3 league games so far… Cinderford, we were clearly the better side. Exmouth, again we were clearly better but got sucker punched at the end. Westbury, with 11 men on the pitch we don’t lose that game. It’s early days but yes, the results have been disappointing but this squad will gel the more games it plays. Personally I think we need to make changes earlier in games. The first half on Saturday was woeful, why not make a change at half time? Do we have a second formation that the lads are familiar with? We seem to set up exactly to same at home as we do away. For example, I’d like to see the young lad satterley given a chance, he scored 20 odd goals last season, and more of Lewis and Harry playing together. BUT i don’t pick the team and I wasn’t complaining against Cinderford or Moneyfields! Also, we’re continuing a worrying trend from last season of conceding late goals. Points away from home are good, maybe sometimes we just need to settle for that.
I can see from what James has built that there is plenty enough in that squad to be up there. If after 10 games we’re having the same discussions then maybe I’ll come on here and voice a different opinion but give it time.
Look at Liverpool, do people think they’re where they need to be? It’s a long old season!
For what it’s worth James, I can see you’ve built a very decent squad. If you can get them playing then you’ve a very dangerous team there, and I believe you will! We can all see you and all of youre management team care so much about results and it’s great to see. Keep battling on!
I might not be able to make today with family visiting, but if you’re there just get behind the team!

I know its frustrating with so much expectation on the team and such a well supported club. But I've always felt you don't get a clear picture of where we are going to finish up in the league until we've played at least 10 games. Lets see where we are then.

100% agree with supporting the team and those of us at Westbury clapped the team off at the end and appreciated the players who came over and one of whom apologised personally to each of the fans for which they got huge respect from me. Having said this people have to recognise that fans spend good money and give up a lot of time following their team and naturally will express frustration at times when they perceive a lack of effort or mistakes being made. It's because they care. We don't want people slagging off the team and manager, but neither do we want a bunch of clapping seals. It's all about balance. All IMO.

Bezza, I can’t disagree that the ones who come both home and away do spend good money and time to watch games but I do disagree with you regarding lack of effort, the time my staff put in each week is incredible and the amount of work the lads get through, the gps shows the data of km run per game shows there’s no lack of effort.

Good to see the passion that Forum members have for the club. I will be there this afternoon cheering on the lads. A good result today will do wonders and we can all be on here to congratulate.

i thought gemmas close season comments on the forum were both informative and reasoned and see nothing wrong with her postings this season any forum is going to get a mixed bag of opinions, pretty boring if not.Without doubt james is a really decent guy but i would say to him "dont bother to get involved in fans forums" jmo
