Good crowd for a Wednesday night. I had a feeling this was going to be a tough match. Will be interested to hear the thoughts of those who went.

In Saturday's first round of league fixtures there were five home wins, 1 draw, and four away wins. In the mid-week games (Tues & Weds), there were seven home wins, 2 draws, and just one win for the travelling team.

Hamworthy 2 wins from 2 in what looked on paper to be tough fixtures. Fair play to them, they've made an immediate impact.

Felt like a similar game to the Forest v West Ham game. It was their first game in the division and clearly they were up for it and generated a big crowd. The pitch was awful (but the same for both sides). First half Wimborne dominated with Harry Morgan rising to head against the crossbar. We should have been ahead at the break but never really threatened despite the dominance Second half they came out the better side but eventually we started playing the better football especially down the left with Oakley Hanger and Burbs combining well. They backed off and effectively looked happy to rely on break aways. When it happened they got a break as the ball bounced around and scored. Refereeing left a little to be desired and our discipline in the second half was not brilliant leading to some yellows although some I could not understand the reason. They celebrated as a major win. We will have to accept that on our budget and having been a Southern League Premiership side opposition sides will see us as a scalp! Overall disappointing day at the office. We will need to be beating these sides in future encounters

We will need to be beating these sides in future encounters I am afraid it's the same old. If we can't beat them, then the chances of going up will be slim. Added to which, yet again poor discipline. Three yellows and only two matches in.something the management have not got to grips with

Here we go let’s blame the management again, 1 lose away from home on a Wednesday evening and we’re not going to get promotion, a couple of yellow cards and it’s doom and gloom. Yet on Saturday evening everyone was happy.
No pleasing most people and I bet you didn’t even travel and watch.

I did go ! I’m sure the management definitely weren’t happy with the result, What Richard said was correct we never took our chances and payed for it, Exmouth wanted it more than us you could see that the way the celebrated at the end ⁉️ 🤍🖤⚽️

Correct I didn't go but was following via internet.Yes only two matches gone, long way to go. Last season we were riddled with yellows and reds. My point was,no improvement has been made on discipline, and if that is not addressed what else has been left unattended. I want them to do well,my heart says that,my head says not until there is a change at the top. My opinion, hope I am proved wrong come May next year

3 yellow in 180 mins = one every hour. Not bad going if you ask me.

I really wouldn’t know how this can be altered but you obviously know how to do this? Excellent result against a very physical side, lads stood up to the test well and quality came through. Start of another cup run under this management tram who keep getting run down by certain individuals
