Is it confirmed where the ladies team will play their home matches? The main pitch, I hope.

The Women's team play their league games on a Sunday I believe so no reason why the club shouldnt allow them to play on the main pitch. I know the club are being protective about the pitch generally but I can't see the Ladies 'roughing' it up that much surely. We have such great facilities to attract players. Hopefully we can but unfortunately WTFC have been left behind in the Ladies game so we musnt expect too much results wise to begin with.

Obviously the 1st team use the pitch, as do the reserves, I see the youth fa cup was played on it and now looks like the women are to play on it as well, Is this not to much football for the pitch and keep it in good order.

Poppy has told me they’ll play on the grass and the 3G - I would guess that decision will be decided on the condition of the pitch att heat point in time.

Hi Graham… another exclusive… thank you! Wonder if Matty has wondered over to see them train and offer any advice… likewise on the goalkeeping… we must have someone experience who could perhaps point the keep(s) in the right direction. Certainly sounds encouraging … let’s hope the Club as a whole get behind them… Could have a page on their status included in our programme…. maybe even meet the team… And Paula… you’re on it already… to think you used to sit at the Old Cuthbury, on a blanket with another blanket wrapped you… How times have changed. 🤣 but thanks for all you do… as supporters we appreciate it… And Poppy… sounds very much like you’re on your own… good luck… and hope your interview with Graham highlights opportunities of support…from across the forum and wider Wimborne Club.

According to the Dorset League website, our Ladies beat Dorch Ladies 9-1 at New Cuthbury this afternoon. Can anyone add some details, please?

I was passing when out on a bke ride and stayed to watch for about 15 minutes. Our ladies were well on top and leading 1-0 at the time. Some decent passing football. Not surprised we scored 9. Was surprised Dorch even got 1 from what I saw. There were about 40 people watching I reckon. It was on the 3G.

For Forum members, here's a slightly edited version of Poppy's report of Sunday's game with Dorch Ladies: WTFC Ladies vs Dorch 4.9.22.doc (31 KB) The report should appear on the Club's website, and in next Saturday's matchday FA Trophy programme.
