It's not all of their fans to be fair but a glance at the Twitter history of some of their fans (who for some reason keep popping up on my feed) helps explain a lot. Possibly been watching too many reruns of the football factory 😂
Anyway a great pre season and so much more positive going into the new campaign.

I know a few Poole Town fans and as is the majority in non league they are great and love the game of football. Unfortunately there are a few of their fans (generally young lads bogging themselves up) that seem to think they have the divine right to act like a bunch of muppets with no regard to others or as it happens their own football club. It produces a toxic atmosphere and which they look for a response too and quite frankly it’s not why I started to watch non league again. Fuelled by social media they look get a rise from other clubs supporters. Not for me I’m afraid. I enjoy a banter with the opposition fans and a beer with them after and you don’t get that with the minority at Poole which spoils it for all.

I did not attend as I don't want my money being spent on Tony Lee's up and coming court appearance !

The last time we played them at home their fans weren't very pleasant and they chucked a flare on the pitch during the game

The Poole rivalry is a fairly new thing. A lot of their younger fans won't remember the days when their team was a beazer homes club and we were Wessex league. With a population of 155k Poole is a potential big club hamstrung by poor infrastructure, whereas we're a small town club who've been punching above our weight. I consider Weymouth to be a truer rival for Poole in terms of catchment and potential support. But I think it's funny that we get under their skin. The comment by their number one Twitter comedian yesterday " enjoy exmouth " was actually bang on the money - we will Thank you !!

It is a shame that some non-league clubs (including Poole) have attracted an anti social element of supporters. This is only a small number however and most Poole fans would be as upset at what they do as we are.
I saw in the Non League Paper that a pre season game had to be abandoned due to crowd trouble at the weekend. I don't know what clubs can do to stamp this out.
