Who was at the game today? Can someone give a report on the game in terms of performance, individuals and game as a whole, did we deserve the win?

Really good performance and thoroughly deserved win, had other chances to score, Morrison had a long range shot tipped over the bar. Oakley Hangar hit the cross bar and Lewis Beale had a goal disallowed.
Lots of new faces on show, Tom Parker-Trott, Oakley Hangar, Ashley Wells, Ben Satterley, Burbs, Jack Hoey, Aaron Roberts but also a few missing Harry Morgan, Harry Baker and Jordan Rose which makes the win even better when you consider we still have those players to bring into the mix.
First goal was a short corner worked to Bartlett on the edge of the box, finished brilliantly with a curling effort into the far corner.
Second goal saw Beale through on goal who was tackled just as he was about to shoot but the ball fell to Roberts who fired into the roof of the net.
Third goal came after a bursting run and through ball by Roberts to Hoey who got there just ahead of the keeper and was brought down for a pen converted by Bartlett.

Thanks Gemma great report on the game, and with those players you mentioned that didn’t play that can only be a good thing with this win.
I bet that made your family weekend more enjoyable then last season.

I thought arron Roberts and Dan barlett were m o m yesterday with Connel and beales not far behind also thought a trialist at centre half was quite good and might be worth keeping even for the reserves and as a back up defender I think some of the football we played was excellent especially for so early in the season really looking forward to the season starting

All in all, a good win with Wimborne playing some good football.
There are still however some defensive issuse that need to be resolved over the remaining friendlies.
I am not able to get to the Poole game but looking forward to seeing us play Basingstoke. That should be a good test ahead of the new season.
Does anyone know who the young trialist is by the way?

From a defensive point of view, there were times when the defenders were unsure who they were supposed to be picking up. This allowed Dorch in on goal on a couple of occasions. I was sat in the main stand behined the dugout and could see James telling the team to sort this out.
It is still early in pre-season and we have a lot of new players in the team. The next couple of games will give us time to work on this.
The young trialist was (if I remember correctly) wearing number 8 and in the first half, looked to be playing in mid field. He made some good runs going forward and did not look out of palce.

Oh right okay, we’ll hopefully they can sort that out, I saw Gemma put Jordan rose didn’t play and I notice arnie never played either so would this issue be helped by those to being involved?
Do we need another midfielder
