I've noticed over the past week that I'm only able to read the first coupe of lines on the Bournemouth Echo articles unless i subscribe. Am i right in thinking that we now have to pay to read full articles? A real shame if so at i was looking forward to reading the article with our new keeper.
I think content from the Echo has been poor for quite a while now so can't see them getting many paid subscribers. However, the past few months the non-league coverage has improved a fair bit. Pointless though if we cant read it. Cost of living crisis and now we've got to pay to read our local news online?

If you use a Mac, don't know about Windows or Android I always use this work around. Open up a private window and view from there. You don't get tracked in a private window so there is no record of your view count on the Echo.

Jack's article in the Echo on keeper Tom is mostly a transcript of our interview with him: www.youtube.com/watch?v=YeujGNV6D58As Silver says, coverage of non-league football in the Echo has really improved now that they have Jack Tanner on board. Well done, Jack.

The subscription service has been in place for some time - you are only really made aware of it if you read eight articles a month. You can then read another eight articles for free if you sign up for an account, which is not a subscription, just a simple case of registering an email. The cap on articles (and the subscription service) has been around for some time, it definitely pre-dates my time at the Echo.
Newspapers up and done the country sort of shot themselves in the foot when they first focused on online content, as providing free access to articles that you'd have to pay to read in a newspaper meant people stopped buying hard copies. With that loss of revenue, they then turned to 'paywalling' online content, but the only issue is they've set people's expectations for free online articles after years of no paywalls.
As I say, you only really become aware of it if you read more than eight articles in a month, and I am noticing that fans of non-league are now hitting this limit because the output of non-league articles is a little bit higher.
Big thank you to Graham for the match reports he provides during the season and the interviews he does as well - it allows us to keep coverage of the club going when I'm tied up elsewhere, usually at Cherries. I try and keep things fresh by interviewing James over the phone, but there is only so many hours in the day, and there still are a few people who might miss the original interview from Graham. When I use the quotes, I always credit them properly.
I won't comment on the workarounds for the article cap (much better than seeing the articles copied and pasted directly onto forums!)
