I believe there are two pre-season games at home on the 3G, with no fans allowed. One being Bournemouth Poppies next Saturday and one being the following Tuesday (unsure who against). Maybe the club could clarify? Understandable if the pitch still isn't ready and game time needed. Could we not of played these games away from home, or maybe their pitches weren't ready either.

When I worked for Bournemouth Council many years ago Bournemouth Poppies played in Victoria Park, Ensbury Park area. Victoria Park was a public park and the pitch was maintained by the Council - so perhaps they're not allowed to play there at this time in the summer ?

Yes there are 2 behind closed door friendlies on the 3G pitch whilst the main pitch recovers from the renovation works so unfortunately fans won't be able to attend these 2 albeit as these will be the first couple they'll be very informal in any event.
The main friendlies then start on 16th with the 5 listed above plus the expectation of another being announced for Sat 30th July.

From the club's twitter account
Another good, but very hot, pre-season workout yesterday on the 3G pitch against @ringwoodtownfc . Finished 8-1 to the Magpies with goals from Baker, Bedford, Rose, Morgan x2 & Beale x3.
