" With deep sadness we have learnt of the passing of Rudi. Rudi was a loyal supporter of and volunteer at Wimborne but was also a frequent visitor to the Black Gold and was always welcome at our games. He was a great character and a big loss to local football. RIP Rudi "

And this from the Death Notices, Obituaries in the Echo:- CUCKA Rudi Sadly, but peacefully passed away at his home on 8th June 2022 after losing his fight against cancer. Adored Husband of Linda, treasured Dad of Niki and Hayley, Father in Law to Nicola and Craig, Grandad to Jamie and Amelia and a much-loved big Brother. Funeral Service to be held at Wimborne Town Football Club on Tuesday, 21st June 2022 at 3 pm. All friends are welcome, with no formal dress code. Thank you to WTFC for allowing family, friends and supporters for celebrating the life of Rudi… I thought it was done particularly very well and shows the Club has the fans and Community at heart….I overheard one supporter say, “if Rudi had known so many people would turn up… he would have sold raffle tickets”… well it brought a smile to my face and when I shared it with Linda, Niki and Hayley.. it seemed he had thought of that already.
