The World Cup in Qatar later this year will result in the temporary suspension of Premier League and Championship fixtures.
How do people see this effecting the non league game?
Is this a golden opportunity for non league clubs to entice supporters of Premier League and Championship clubs to watch their games during this hiatus (as per non league day / international breaks) and how can this opportunity be maximised by clubs so that they financially benefit?
Alternatively with all of the World Cup fixtures being screened "free to view" in the UK is there a possibility that attendances will drop during this period due to a saturation of football.
Lets hope that supporters of AFCB would rather watch some local, competitive football ahead of sitting at home in front of the T.V. or even worse enduring Xmas shopping.

It will be interesting to see. Rather than just wait and hope for the best, it’s a golden opportunity for the whole of the non-league world to come together and promote the benefits of non-league football to the wider public for the longer-term, e.g., affordable, and competitive football, fans can get more involved with their clubs, kids can get closer to the players etc.
Instead of just relying on individual clubs and the Non-League Paper though, I feel the National League and Trident Leagues need to work together on a publicity campaign leading up to the World Cup. Otherwise, apart from a few games with slightly increased attendances (as welcome as that would be) a once in a lifetime opportunity to get many more new people to stay with the non-league game will be missed.
Those are my thoughts; it would be interesting to hear other peoples.

Much will depend on the timing of televised games and how well England & Wales do in the competition.
If cup games are in the evening, this is a very good oppertunity for non league clubs to promote live football in the afternoon with the World Cup game being shown in the clubhouse afterwards. Clubs need to capatilise on this.
