Just rung the Clubhouse and its NOT. There is a 60th Birthday Party instead.

It’s a shame isn’t it. Maybe that’s what not quite working for me in the clubhouse. It’s great that it’s being used for events such as birthday parties etc and bringing in extra revenue but it is then missing out on normal football club business. If there is a way both could co-exist it would be great. When we are winning the majority of home games next season (🙏) we don’t want to be kicked out celebrating because of a birthday party! The clubhouse almost needs a separate area for the third party events but leaving a small area/bar for general WTFC use. The current partition doesn’t really work imo

I hired the old cuthbury club house for my 50th a few years ago but know that Clive discourages it now on Saturdays. It's a difficult one because birthday parties bring in good numbers and revenue whereas the football crowd are mostly gone by 7-8pm on a matchday. My party had 90 guests all spending money in the bar until closing time!
Personally I would love to be playing classic rock and pop after a match with my band in front of a bar full of wtfc fans next season - I hope we can make it happen at least once !!
