The quality of the players we had last season, on paper at least, should have kept us up. Are there other reasons that hampered us. I've been thinking about it and could these be some of the other reasons
1. There was a post on this forum a while back about two supporters who came down here before the stadium was built. They were leaning over the 5 bar gate looking over the field which was here then. They asked an old boy resident of Parmiter Drive [allegedly of Gypsy stock] what he thought about the development to be. Apparently he was pretty incensed about it and said - I hope you never win a game when your new stadium is built and I put a curse on it.- Well he wasnt far off was he. So we need to get this curse lifted. Has the club been in touch with the local clergy or exorcist ? At least we get could someone from the Minster Church to bless the ground. Or what does the ouija board say.
2. The vocal support has been poor despite some good attendances. Perhaps we could get Gareth Malone to come down on a match day to show us how ts done
3. Compared to the quaintness of Old Cuthbury which was unique, then New Cuthbury is very practical but rather bland and without the heart and soul we had at the old ground. The main advantage to us playing there was the slope. When the current pitch is 'mended' could we not have a slope built in ?
4. The new shirts we have are faintly black and white stripes. Not the bold black and white we used to have. Has this affected our performances.? As Eddie Howe has links to this area could we ask him if he can let us have some old Newcastle United shirts we can use ?
Can fans enlighten us as to any other reasons they think there might be
