So next season in the Southern League South Division 1 we will have Hamworthy Utd, Bashley [ just got promoted after a 4=0 win over Christchurch,] Afc Totton & Sholing. Plus Winchester City if they don't get through the play off's and Lymington Town if they survive. Will be like being back in the Wessex League again !!!

This must be a positive for the club in terms of getting fans in from away games unlike teams in our league, Harrow, Walton etc
Also that must save on travel costs for the club as I’m sure there won’t be a coach for this games
Both have to be positives for the club

Good to see local games. Pitty we still get to go to Merthyr. We will probably get that fixed for a Tuesday evening in Februry.

Just one of many reasons to look forward to next season. The bristol bound trips are less fun thanks to the lack of decent A roads in Dorset and the South west. Will hamworthy become our new rivals? Not sure I can see it as we have no shared history and a,number of wimborne fans like me consider them to almost be their second non league team. But who knows!

Does anyone know how Merthyr even ended up being in the southern league?! Surely Midlands section would be closer. Always puzzled me that one. Evesham is another one. Not southern unless you're hopeless at geography !!
