No lack of effort or application today - until those two quick goals went in, didn't think there looked much between the two teams. Third goal (was it intentional or a wayward cross?) killed it though, just as we looked to have them rattled at 1-2.
Still don't like this one up front, though - leaves Beale chasing shadows against 2 or 3 defenders twice his size.

I thought it was spot on today in terms of effort commitment and tactics, well done to all involved
Not sure about your comment apc on the one up front though, you want to take one out of cm against the best passing team in the league, that doesn’t the make much sense to me, 90% of teams play 3 in midfield

That was not a 4-1 game. Very flattering to what is a very good side. We played the ball around well I thought. Healthy attendance too given the league position. Not many other clubs in our league with 2 wins at home all season would get over 400. For the size of the town, Wimborne remain a well supported club.

405 at home after the last home game was fantastic, especially as poole were also home yesterday. Shows the support is still there for the team and management.
Like bezza said it wasn’t a 4-1 game and I think it shows everyone still fighting for the cause,

Great work by our players, fantastic atmosphere in the stands and the club house afterwards…. and real commitment by Wimborne … Thanks James and your team for preparing the team and providing such great football entertainment . The small number of doubters amongst the fans are very quiet on this site.. (that’s leaving myself wide open). But whilst we didn’t gain any points against this top of the league side… football like this will certainly keep the positive supporters attending in their 100’s. More like this please.😊

Anyway good to hear from you, very positive and very positive from Barry channon, would like to hear Dorset hammers views as he’s very honest as well

Well that was a strange one! A 4-1 loss at home but instead of the moans and groans the majority of the people I spoke to seemed fairly happy and this continued on into the clubhouse afterwards. As has been said the score line actually didn’t reflect the game. Having been to the 8-1 drubbing which reflected the game Wimborne matched Hayes & Yeading up until the first goal which was quickly followed by a second. Two nil down flattered them at half time. At 2-1 however they looked rattled and we were competing. The lads fought for everything and this is what the fans watching I think appreciated. Some of the younger Development lads were watching behind the goal and banging the shed which helped spur the guys on. A flukey third goal (it was a definite cross imho) effectively ended the game and a last minute goal gave a score not reflective of the overall match No one expected a result but I think most were impressed by the attitude, grit and determination. The H&Y players were good and I heard lots of talk about their players being on £700/800 a week and budgets of over £10k a week. It is no wonder where they are in the League. The clubhouse was full at the end (helped by the weather no doubt) but given the loss most probably thought it a good loss. More of this for the remainder of the season starting tomorrow and we should get a few results and keep people coming in.

Wimbornefan I assume you are addressing your me when you are making back handed comments on the "doubters". Despite our differences, I always believed we objectively had the best interests of the club at heart and had respect for your opinions. However your continued snide and confrontational remarks seems you have an agenda that supercedes what it best the for club. It is clear that irresptive of performance, results, relegation you will confront anyone who dare question the manager. Even actually throwing the players under bus when things go wrong rather than objectively analyse the managers performance.
Saturday, In my own opinion and I am purely talking about the football here, Is probably part of the reason we are in the situation and we are in and why I take issue with the clubs level of ambiton. It seems you are almost smugly casting aspersions at the doubters(myself) after we lost 4-1 at home, 16 points from safety, bottom of the league and with 3 league wins all season, yet your post almost read like "I told you so" and my opinion is one that is completely unreasonable.
I can only hope that in the event that we have a new manager at some point, that you continue to the back them through tough times with the same passion and steadfastness as you have the current manager, despite not having the personal relationship with them that you share with James.

All getting a bit personal.. not sure that does any good…. I’m not sure who the individuals are behind the various comments..and not sure that matters… But, perhaps those who doubt our current manager and his team around him should speak to him after a game. Might be a way to address your issues…. just a thought… As I see it.. a difficult hand dealt with and with a limited and restrictive player budget… hasn’t helped the situation… But we are where we are.. why not turn any negative thoughts, into showing and supporting our Manager and our players as we see the current season draw to a close… the Board have shown their support … surely we’d all do well, whilst still having our individual opinions, to show support in these pages for all those in place to make football happen at Wimborne Town..
By the way, haven’t seen it mentioned yet.. but after a season with a pitch that had surface issues, didn’t the pitch look in excellent condition last Saturday… well done to our groundsman.

I will support whoever the manager is and whatever the situation they are in, I believe it’s not the manager, they can put together a game plan, ask the team to do this or that. If the players can’t continuously do that then how is that the manager fault, I know there havnt been many wins/draws this season but look at the wins points we have picked up, how have we done that if the manager is incompetent and not up to the level as some say, surely it’s the players who can’t perform at the required level week in week out. I don’t have a personal relationship with the manager, like mowerman says why not speak to the manager like many fans do? Are you worried he might say something you don’t like?

The way I see it, we are a bit like Norwich in the PL at the moment, out of our depth in terms of budget and player quality. Norwich changed managers a while back and got a win or two but they're still going down because they can't compete. But this is non league not PL and one thing you can do at Wimborne is approach people in the bar afterwards and ask questions and get honest answers. I was sat with one of the board after the game who was friendly enough, offered to buy me a beer and answered my questions. Definitely helped my understanding of our position and knowing Hayes for example have probably 6-7 x our weekly budget puts it into context. Let's go again next season and if the team still don't perform with new players and more funds we'll know where the problem lies. But I respect anyone who takes a different view. Opinions are just that, opinions and not worth falling out over.

I have said before I shall not make any more comments re the manager, the bod etc. I was not at the match but heard the team did well, so I am pleased. However, I have spoken to a couple of staunch supporters who say they are not renewing their season tickets. I only hope next season our wishes and hopes are realised
