I see the club have organised a youth tournament which I think is a great idea. www.wimbornetownfc.co.uk/2022-youth-tournament/My concern is that it states that the event will be on the main pitch on the 6th and 7th May, as our last home game of the season is against Poole Town on 18th April surely this will need to be the date to start work on ensuring that we have a much better playing surface next season, delaying any proposed works by 3 weeks could have massive consequences with regards being ready for pre season fixtures. Surly this type of event is perfect for the 3G surface.

Be very interested in knowing where all the money raised at this tournament goes as it probably makes more money than any pre season game would.

If you recall I asked a similar question at the first fans forum about the level of contribution that the running of the Development centre brings into the club. There are teams from U9’s to U16’s I believe which players ( well parents) pay for. Clearly the costs of the coaches, Training costs such as hire of the 3G etc need to be paid but there should be an element of profit that goes to the club. This is aside from the Academy which gets a certain amount of funding from the Education authority which should cover the cost of Matty, accommodation and teaching expenditure. At the fans forum Terry alluded that this washed its face but not sure the answer was given about the Development sides Similarly the running of a youth day should bring in revenue for the club as all teams pay an entrance fee which hopefully covers pitch hire (3G surely), ref costs etc. Hopefully the club can also maximise on refreshment sales etc too

And swerves away from anything that mentions profit! Finance is for the Treasurer to sort, but if fair questions are asked surely we all deserve a fair answer. We are the people who matter to the club with our income after all. Season tickets, shop purchases, function tickets, supporters club fees and our healthy bar spends. People that are told nothing could start thinking there is something to hide? That's not a suggestion, it's a fact.
