The reserves/devs and the Acadamy players just are not up to the standard of the leagues we’re playing in, you must have seen that when we’ve played them.
If we want to be at the top end of that league below we need a core of experience quality players.
Did Matty use and of the dev lads when we did well in that league below or did he use experience in stokes, burbs Matty o etc

how did Burbs Arnold Maybury become 1st team players???
They were given a bloody chance to prove themselves
To judge 18 19 Yr lads over a couple of games is a bloody joke in what is a very poor side playong with no confidence.
I agree the standard maybe to high for them but if we don't try we will never know.
Funny these are all the same lads that won thier league last year and everyone saying the need to push the 1st teamers...instead we stick with the same old players, look were that got us...

Like, Scott and Billy came from full time academies...all Bournemouth I believe, so I’m not sure what your point here is?
If the current development players are not good enough, then they’re not good enough. It’s as simple as that. They’ve been given enough chances this season, more than most clubs at our level. Louis and Jake have both starTed and featured In multiple games, as have Regan and Adwell. Adwell went to Poole and has barely played a minute there from what I’ve seen?
I’m struggling to understand what you’re not seeing on this one?

There is no point in having the academy,or reserve side then is there. So much for the players pathway Least you will save money by not having to enter teams in different leagues and cups because you won't attract younger players. I hope the new board have a ton of money to buy these superstars you lot are hoping for. the youth players in the academy are not there for a pathway to the first team they are purely there to fill up the Btec course that’s being run at the club, nothing to do with ability just need to sign on the dotted line pay your money and your in.

I am not struggling to it, but as stated you are about to lose a cluster of boys 18 20 year olds to local clubs which you will not recover from. Perhaps I am thinking more long term than the you are. There is no guarantee we will come back up next year. I hope the lads we are discussing find clubs next year to progress their footballing futures as its clear it will not be with Wimborne. I bet some of them will come back to haunt us just like Toby Holmes has done..and then will won't them back costing a fortune..

We are losing youth players that have been at the club from a very young age, they have been given fantastic coaching at Wimborne but because they aren’t able to sign up to the Btec course they are being told to find other clubs to play for, we have local clubs queuing up to sign these players.

Harry has been fantastic this season and I’m glad he’s staying, good work by James and the bod to get him to re-sign. James again showing he can attract /keep the better players even after this poor season

Yes, a lot of players in the Wessex League have played at a higher level/ or could do, But dont want the excessive travelling involved with the next step up.
