I'm not sure if / when the preview will appear on the club's website, so here it is:
Match Preview - Wimborne Town vs Salisbury - Southern League Tues 15 Feb 2022
Both teams have completed exactly two-thirds of their league fixtures, but both sets of supporters will be disappointed with the result.
The Whites sit sixteenth with 35 points, that's 19 points behind Gosport in the final play-off spot, having scored 39 and conceded 52 goals. The Magpies are five places lower with 20 points less, having scored 26, the lowest in the division, and conceded 65 goals.
On their league travels Salisbury have a W5 D3 L5 record. Their last league win, home or away, was 3-2 at Hartley Wintney on 29th January. Since then they've lost 3-1 at Taunton, drawn 1-1 with Hayes & Yeading at the RayMac stadium, and last Saturday lost 4-0 at Chesham.
Salisbury Manager Steve Claridge's thoughts appear to be looking towards next season as Woody Angell, Devon Arnold, Harry Baker and Emmanuel Odubade have all recently moved on, with forward Josh Fawole joining on loan from Aldershot. But his players' thoughts will still be on this season as they try to impress the boss.
With fourteen games left, Wimborne's Manager James Stokoe will want his team to scrap for every point, and will hope to strengthen the squad this week after the departures of Dan Cann, Jamie Henry and Billy Maybury. The last two games at New Cuthbury have seen back-to-back clean sheets with a win over Tivvy and a draw with Casuals.
A Lewis Beale brace gave Wimborne victory in the reverse fixture at the end of August.
Given the heavy rain in the weather forecast, you are advised to check the club's website for a pitch inspection and possible postponement before setting out for the 7:30 kick-off.
A big crowd is expected for Salisbury's first visit to New Cuthbury. If you can car-share, or even make your way on foot, it would be most appreciated. But if you are coming by car, please respect our neighbours when parking.
Weather forecast: cloudy; 9oC; 50% chance of rain.

Unfortunately I won't be able to make tonight, but the improvement on match updates from the twitter has been noticed and appreciated. Thank you to whoever has made it happen! Rumandmonkey you are right and having to miss the last few games because having to isolate the Twitter and Radio Wimborne coverage (home games) has been a relief! The recent Twitter feed has been done by James Langdon (goalie) currently injured. Top job!!
