From the clubs twitter account "The club would like to thank Billy Maybury & Dan Cann for their efforts this season and wish them both well back at @sfc1888 & @hamworthyutdfc respectively." Plus interview with James after the game here www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ybKDQVT3Os&t=6s

Disappointed to hear both have left. We seem to be running low on players again. Big week ahead.

Thanks for doing the interview Graham 😊
As others have said we are certainly a bit thin on the ground at the moment with Jamie Henry, Billy Maybury and Dan Cann leaving this week, youngsters Jake Carswell and Cam Smith having left in the past few weeks, Bragg being recalled by Eastleigh and Strugnell being injured.
Genuine question here and interested to hear peoples thoughts, I notice that James said in the interview that we are bottom of the chain when he calls managers to try and get loan players, why do we think this is? Percentage of wages that we can pay to parent clubs, clubs not thinking that Wimborne is best for their development for whatever reason that may be? Our current league position?
Similarly, why have we lost some many players recently? Released because they aren’t good enough? Cutting the wage bill to prepare for next season? They don’t want to play for the manager?
No malice intended, just interested to hear peoples thought’s.
Have a good Sunday everyone 😊

Have a good Sunday everyone 😊 Gemma, I believe jack and can are duel reg at verwood so we would be the main club for them if we decide we need them, same situation with Louis McWilliams, Regarding the bottom of the chain James mentioned, again I’m guessing that’s when we’re looking at players from higher leagues(national league) didn’t he say we ask for players from clubs but they need to replace the one where trying to get first before we get them hence bottom of the chain.I would suggest league position or manager makes a difference with loans, this evening proved by xander and akheem coming in from Weymouth when we were bottom. Only my views

Thanks for the reply, that makes more sense if we are waiting for those teams to sign loan players of their own before they can release to us. I notice that Weymouth signed 2 on loan yesterday so you never know they may have available players now, although I also noticed that Rose scored a 98th minute goal to get them a draw yesterday so well done to him 👍
In some ways I guess it’s a shame that Weymouth and Eastleigh changed their managers recently too as we seemed to have built up a good rapport with both of them earlier in the season.
Fingers crossed 🤞 that we can find a player or two before the 2 games this week.

James obviously tapped into his knowledge of Eastleigh from living that way and I’m guessing he knows stocky as well, like you say a shame they have both gone as now new relationships need to be built and that will take time, Didn’t james say we might have someone early this week coming in?

Yes my thoughts exactly, but also the new managers will probably be more reluctant to let players go as they like to take a look at what they’ve got first. James did say he was hopeful so let’s hope so, where do you think we need to strengthen? I’d say centre back after losing Struggs, Billy and Bragg? Also what do you think is the reason is for losing so many recently?

Goes back to the time but James mentioned I’m guessing. As for players leaving Cam Jake and Louis duel reg to get experience Braggy done well and now involved at Eastleigh so James and game time have improved him to conference squad level Jamie was stated wanted game time and suffered a lot of injuries with us didn’t he Billy and canny unsure why but neither much loss, canny unfit and Billy attitude not good enough in my opinion As for positions needed, yes a cb but who’s available, I think anyone coming in will be a boost

You'll appreciate I can't go into too much detail about comings and goings but rest assured there are funds available and James & Mark are working hard to secure some new arrivals - we hope to announce one, maybe more next week. Loan signings though are especially tricky as you're always at the mercy of the parent club so patience is the key ...which of course is difficult for us given our league position.
