We've engaged with a marketing company to help us make some improvements to our social media coverage going forward in terms of Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and You Tube with a view to upping our game in this area. As part of the process we're undertaking an audit of social media and seeking supporters input by way a short survey. If you have a few minutes we'd really welcome your input ..it goes without saying that the more people that complete the survey the better. Thanks for your help. www.questionpro.com/t/AUzcrZrFxi

Have completed the survey but there is no mention of a regular Fans Forum or a fansite like this one [ which the club stopped via the official website] although, without trying to influence anyone, you can put your thoughts about this in the comments box

Nothing I love more than having my work included in a survey with zero heads up š¤¦āāļø

Hi Tony. Without understanding what you really mean I would like to say your highlights of Wimborne Town games - not to mention other local teams - is very professional and looked forward to by all supporters. We are lucky to have you do this for the love of it. Even if a fan goes to a game they like to see goals and incidents in depth and detail afterwards. Thanks for all you do.
Also just to say this this forum was set up after the old hierarchy pulled the one off the club website without notice. Apart from letting fans post grievances, criticism and praise without fear of reprisals it was also hoped we could get all info about the club pulled together into this one website, with links to - e.g Match reports, Interviews, Video Highlights, Clubhouse events, Previews, Reserves & Academy info, General info, Social Media etc etc

My point is that the club, amongst other topics, is surveying & gathering a rating for āmatch highlightsā which it does not actually produce.
I do this on behalf of the club because it has nobody else to do it, so maybe the polite thing would have been to give me a heads up before asking everyone for an opinion on my work š? This lack of engagement gives the whiff of entitlement which drove me from Poole Town to Wimborne in the first place.

Tony - there is no way anybody is going to criticise your work but I'm sure I speak on behalf of many supporters who have been 'gagged' by the hierarchy in the past to say that this is what happens. Obviously there is no mention even about a Forum in the survey but hopefully it will be brought up in the comments box of the survey by supporters. Keep up the good work. It really is appreciated.

Iām not concerned about the feedback they receive. I know thereās nothing currently out there nationally, let alone regionally, that compares to what I produce and the feedback I receive (thank you for yours š) backs that up every single week. Iām also comfortable with the fact that Iām not going to be everyoneās cup of tea.

Having to isolate on Saturday couldnāt wait to watch the highlights of the nil nil last week! Thanks also to Radio Wimborne which I did listen too to keep me up dated (Pen by the way but about time a ref decision went our way imo) Take your point but hopefully just an oversight. Hopefully you get an explanation. Shame you are not doing Weston as this is another game I canāt make because of this virus! Back in action for Salisbury on Tuesday thank goodness!!

In light of Tony's comments I thought I ought to clarify the club remains extremely grateful to him for the work he puts in. Rest assured we're not trying to claim his work as ours we're just trying to understand what people like, value and prefer to see and read via the various social media channels.
We're lucky to have Tony focusing on our club this season but I'm only too aware he's a free spirit and may choose to move on next season. If so the survey (over 50 respondents to date) will help us understand what's most important to the fans ...I feel sure his work will be right up there and, if / when he does move on, he'll leave massive shoes for us to fill.
Improvements to our social media work and greater fan engagement are crucial moving forward but rather than just decide what people want for them its important to get the views of as many people as possible to help shape our future output ...hopefully I've allayed any concerns Tony might have had in the process.

Just a quick message to thank the 82 people that responded to the social media survey. A great response rate and some really good feedback and ideas. Weāll now spend some time assessing the data and look to improve our offering going forward. Some are quick wins, others will take a little more time to implement.
One challenge weāve been aware of for some time remains match day Twitter output - especially away games - so if anyone would like to step forward to assist then please drop me an email at l.merrifield@mspcapital.co.uk
Thanks again for everyoneās input.
