From our current league table, it seems very likely that the battle to avoid relegation will be between the bottom four teams. For comparison, here are their remaining fixtures in chronological order:
Dorchester - 19th, 25 points from 31 games:
- Hartley Wintney (a); Farnboro (a); Supermarine (h); Merthyr (h); Kings Langley (a); Met Pol (h); Wimborne (a); Hendon (h); Salisbury (a); Yate (h); and finally Walton Casuals (a).
Kings Langley - 20th, 20 from 31:
- Harrow (a); Merthyr (a); Wimborne (h); Hartley W (a); Dorch (h); Truro (a); Gosport (h); Supermarine (h); Yate (a); Hendon (h); and finally Salisbury(a).
Wimborne - 21st, 15 from 27:
- Weston (a); Salisbury (h); Harrow (h); Kings Langley (a); Truro (a); Yate (h); Merthyr (a); Hayes & Y (h); Weston (h); Beaconsfield (a); Dorch (h); Hartley W (h); Supermarine (a); Poole (h); and finally Chesham (a)
Merthyr - 22nd, 13 from 28:
- Supermarine (a); Poole (a); Kings Langley (h); Taunton (a); Truro (a); Dorch (a); Wimborne (h); Gosport (h); Harrow (a); Salisbury (h); Chesham (h); Beaconsfield (a); Supermarine (h); and finally Hendon (a).

It would seem on face value that ourselves and Dorchester have the hardest run in.

A further look reveals that of the 3 leagues the bottom teams of the south have the lowest points total leatherhead have some new found momentum and have picked up points. So would imagine anyone wanting to stay up needs to finish above Dorchester.

I may wrong Wimborne fan, it's probably likely, but I thought in the southern section of step 3 there are 3 leagues, Southern South, Southern Central and Isthmian Premier?!?! If that's correct, out of the 3 leagues, our bottom team and 3rd from bottom have the lowest points total, which would suggest our 3rd bottom would be relegated by virtue of lowest PPG across the 3 leagues. Suggestibg that realistically in our league anyone looking to stay up would need to finish 4th bottom. With bottom teams in the other leagues picking up form and the 3rd bottom sides having a higher points than our third bottom, we need Dorchesters miserable form to continue.
Maybe Graham can clarify.

As Has been stated on the Forum previously there are 4 leagues at an equivalent step 3 level in England. They are Northern Premier, Isthmian Premier, Soutthern Premier Central, and our leauge,Southern Premier South
Of all these 4 leagues the bottom 2 are relegated = 8 teams from all 4 leagues. But there are 9 teams to be relegated. So the last team to go will be the 3rd from bottom team chosen from all 4 leagues which has the worst Points Per Game ratio.
Trust this is clear
