I see on Twitter that there is now a tea hut located near to the 3G pitches.
A great idea and a good source of income well done to all involved in getting this set up...
Just a couple of questions though...
Is it run by the club with volunteers?
Can it be opened on first team match days to spread the load and reduce waiting times at the clubhouse tea room?

Yogi - Have you read the thread on here 'Observations from the Tiverton programme' I should imagine its just for when the 3G pitch is being used.

Dave
I appreciate that the hut is primarily going to be open when the 3G IS operating, I guess my real questions was "Can" it be used for first team home games if the need arises.
I think my first question with regards to who operates the tea hut remains unanswered.
Perhaps a question for Lee to answer when he has the time.

Hi Yogi - I'm assuming that as the hut is outside of the confines of the main stadium it would mean to access the hut you would have to leave the stadium which may not be practical.
Now if some thought had gone into it the Hut could have been located so that it could have been accessed from both the stadium side and the 3G side. So a dual purpose use. But that would have been too easy wouldnt it ?!?!

Dave
My mistake, as I haven't yet observed the hut for myself I assumed that it had been located exactly as you suggest.

Yeah I cycled down there some months ago and it was next to the fence next to the housing estate - so on the opposite side of the gravel track to the back of the undercover standing area. So I presume it hasnt been moved. Cheers Yogi

Just to confirm the new Tea Hut is going well but the aim remains to focus on the 3G pitch users rather than open it for match days (its a bit more complicated given its outside of the ground) - we will though keep this under review. Its not staffed by volunteers (unlike the lovely ladies in the main tea hut) and so there are additional modest wage costs to factor in, but any profits are of course filtering back to the club and based on the first full week it appears to have been well received and a worthwhile venture for both the club and 3G users.
