If you go to home games the matchday programme is a good source of information about the club. A good read for £2.50 with tons of information in its 50+ pages
From 'Tony Talks' :-
Around the club this week we have taken on another groundsman to assist Nathan with the pitch and hopefully with the extra time spent we will get some improvement.
We are also opening the Magpies Hut this week which is the tea hut down by the 3G pitch for people using the 3G pitch serving drinks and snacks. It will also be available to hold kids Birthday parties.
We have put some new signage around the ground saying No Dogs Allowed as unfortunately we are having a problem with dog owners not picking up after their pets. This has given us a real problem with particularly around the 3G pitch where users of the 3G are transferring it onto the pitch
The road at the back of the stand leading to the 3G pitch will be levelled out and more stone put down in the next 10 days or so. When its redone can we please ask that people observe the speed limit within the ground. This is for the safety of all and to preserve the surface

There is a profile of our only lady steward, Sue Kirkland. She and her partner used to steward at Poole Town - but after coming to the old Cuthbury decided Wimborne Town was the best club for them to support. [Good on yah Sue.]
On the Upcoming Events page there is a Wimborne Comedy Club night on February 25th with comedian Andrew O'Neill. Doors open 7pm for 8pm performance.Tickets £10 up to 5th Feb, thereafter £15Tickets from ourselves or Square Records shop in Wimborne . Online ticketsource.co.uk/wimborne.
Matty Holmes has written an interesting article on the Academy. The next Academy games are away at Eastleigh on Wed 26th Jan, then at home against KT Academy on Wed 2nd Feb, both 11am kick off. Also Matty tells us that Shane Traynor has made his management debut for the Reserves [who are joint top of their league] after Darren Sheppard and Danny Tabor left to take over the Verwood first team. They won 5-2 against Bemerton Heath Harlequins and 5 Academy players started. Shane is looking to appoint an assistant soon plus backroom staff.
