Hope everyone found something to do this afternoon! Looks like the first team used the free afternoon to get an extra training session in on the 3G this afternoon. Thank goodness we have this asset for the club
Results went our way again today so no ground lost despite not playing. For those that don’t know Dorch 0 - Taunton 1 Beaconsfield 1 - Kings Langley 0 Merthyr 1 - Weston Super Mare 3
Hartley Witney and Tiverton both had matches postponed

I was going to watch the Bournemouth Rugby game against Camborne [Train don't stop Camborne Wednesdays - Jethro story] as I used to play for BRFC many moons ago. But at the last minute they changed the KO to 2pm from 3pm. Then they decided the main pitch couldnt be used so played on a nearby pitch* which has no cover. So I went to see Hamworthy Utd v AFC Stoneham on the 3G pitch, Wessex League Premier
In the Hamworthy side were several ex Magpies including Shane Murphy, Jack Lovell, Connor Cocklin, Lee Francis [their Skipper] and Adam Costello. Hamworthy won 1-0 by the way and are 2nd on goal difference with the same points [54] as Horndean, and a game in hand. They have only lost one game all season. So they could be in the same league as us next season.
*Just wondering if we could play any of our games on the 3G if it became desperate. I don't think it would meet Southern league standards though [other than the pitch] so it may have to be played without spectators. Perhaps a streaming feed in the clubhouse? Just a thought as we are getting well behind with our games in hand
