Half time... and a pretty depressing way to start the new year... BTW best wishes to Dan.
Aware the injury may have upset the players but that doesn't account for the lack of passion and ill discipline...most of the players looked like they had been out on the lash...
You don't get yourself booked for shouting abuse at the ref (after you have been awarded the free kick) then throw yourself into an unwinnable tackle.
Discipline this season has been appalling...if you are constantly playing with 10 men and then having to plugs gaps to cover suspensions you are always going to struggle...

I think January will be a very important month... If we don't see an improvement in performances and points gained I think the BoD will start looking at next season and this could well mean a new management team.

Meanwhile & to add a bit more gloom & doom, a 'little bird' tells me that our reserve's team management will be announced as Verwood Town FC's new management tomorrow.

Another red card today is one card too many this season. Have lost count but it is becoming an all too regular occurence and putting the team on the back foot. Some serious discipline needs instilling into those responsible.

I’ve been reading these comments, and I think you are right and wrong yogi, I think the injury has affected the players more than you know, even a fan fainted behind the goal. Why do you think they’ve been on the lash as well, the same players ran their hearts out second half. As for the management goes the board has said on a few occasions that James and mark will be here next season as they had their hands tied this season. Why are you so determined to try and get them the sack when we’ve been informed they will be here next season??

I will agree that the second half performance was much improved, however the game was already lost and Poole were only playing at 70%
There are a few reasons I believe that the management will change before the start of next season.
The body language of James suggests that he is fed up with seeing the same mistakes made time and again and this would suggest that the players either aren't listening or are not capable.
Whist the BoD might publicly support the management team (as you would expect) they will surely have severe reservations as to weather they are the right people to get us promoted next season.
Putting the injury to one side we looked well of the pace, were second to every ball, made some shocking decisions with the ball and poor discipline has once again cost us dearly both in the game and for future fixtures.
With an increased budget comes increased expectations, it is my opinion that the current management team will struggle to match these expectations and will either move on or be removed in the summer.
I hope to be proved wrong but from what I am watching I can see only one possible outcome.

I disagree that poole we’re playing at 70%, you could see they were still trying to score and play games and the lads showed great effort to come back and do well second half, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, when you hear what the budget was at the start of the season you can understand why players are making mistakes they simply are not southern league level players, if you only pay little you won’t get good enough players. I’m sure the board will stick with James and mark and I think they have proved last season and at times this they can do it and I’m sure they are fully aware that a bigger budget will increase the pressure on them

Link to the goals from Poole Town Twitter account. Watching the final goal the disappointing thing is the lack of tracking back by our defenders. It was a difficult afternoon and clearly the lads didn’t want to play after watching the injury to Struggs but…….. Alex Cull made a great save but no one else reacted unfortunately!
