Wimborne`s first victory at the New Cuthbury saw Harry Morgan open the scoring in the 26th minute. The two Weymouth loanees had Covid so didnt start
Curtis Young doubled the hosts` advantage 7 minutes into the second half, but there were a few nervy moments after Luke Hallett pulled one back for Boro 10 minutes from time, even though they had been reduced to 10 men.

Played some great stuff today in front of a decent crowd. Pleased to see the ref wasn't conned by their defender throwing himself to the ground for our 2nd goal.thought bouwe and Curtis were great for us today. Helped myself to a bit of 4 to 1 to win the game so a great day all round!

Radio Solent did some interviews after the game with James Stokoe, The Gosport Manager and Lee Merrifield. What the Gosport manager had to say is very interesting. Very Killick like in his opinion of the referee. Start at 22mins 20 seconds www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0b69qzw

I would suggest he gives it up.absolute nonsense. 100 per cent their player wasn't clipped,it was right in front of me. How ungracious.

Gosport manager claims they were cheated due to a blatant handball for our first goal and their player was tripped as our player went on his way to crossing the ball for WT second goal. I rather thought that the Gosport player was a stride behind WT man who had the ball, surely he fell over his own feet but attempted to make it look like a foul. However, Shaun Gale has had enough after today!

What a fantastic result and even more encouraging was a brilliant performance. Yes, we were backs against the wall for the last 15/20 minutes but that was always going to happen against a strong side like Gosport, especially with the nervousness of getting our first home win.
I'm very confident that'll act as a springboard and hopefully the past two games can be the start of a little unbeaten run for us.
On a side note, i'm aware the two Weymouth loanees have COVID. When do their loans expire? Will we be looking to extend their loans? Will we see them play for us again? A few people were talking about this around the stadium yesterday so it'd be great if someone front eh club could shed some light on this for the supporters please.

As www says above, James talks about the 2 Weymouth loanees early in his post-match interview. He said that yesterday would have been Xander's last game, whereas Ahkeem has one more game on his loan. It's then up to the 2 clubs to sort out what happens.
