I believe Dave was asked to attend a grand opening of the bike park but gratefully declined. Some heroes like to do there stuff in an understated way. I don’t think he wants a fuss but we all know. It’s a great donation and I truly hope people use it in the manner Dave intended 👏👏

It astonishes me that the club, which as we are regularly reminded is a business, has the gall to accept a donation from a fan. In this instance the bike park hoops and cover should have been re-installed by the club at the club’s expense after someone decided the original location was needed to site a container. WTFC can afford a general manager who doesn’t turn up for the benefit of his health and with a song in his heart yet the club readily takes money from an 83yrs old fan. When I last spoke to Dave, he said he could no longer drive or ride his bike to home games and has had to get a taxi to The Wyatt Stadium. Perhaps the club would consider paying for that as some sort of acknowledgement and kind gesture towards his generosity.
