Thought I’d start a thread to gather any suggestions you’d like to see included/added/changes in the highlights I produce for the home games.
I’ll take all sensible suggestions under consideration but adoption would depend on the time & effort required (and I also have to be conscious not to step on anyone else’s toes 😁 ) and make sure it fits into the 9-12 minute sweet spot.

First of all Tony I must say your highlights are top notch and very professional. When I look at other club's highlights they don't seem prepared to zoom in when play is in the Box - so when goals are scored its difficult to see what's happened. Including the commentary from Radio Wimborne was a nice touch. Replays are something other clubs don't do much either.
So I can't think of anything at the moment myself. And when you eventually get use of the video tower it's going to get even better. But you might have to edit out the swearing from the [mostly opposition] bench - especially when we play Poole !

Thanks for the feedback. I try to fit in as much action as possible whilst not showing too much that might provide future opposition with some handy scouting tips - it’s a delicate balance.
Many clubs are now utilising their Veo footage and using it for highlights. The problem with this is that these cameras use artificial intelligence to automatically follow the ball and are designed to be used by the coaching teams to analyse patterns of play, etc., hence the wide view and no zoom. Also, because it’s mainly about collecting the “macro” data, the camera resolution isn’t as high as my camera (for example) so the quality of the video can be somewhat blurry.

Tony, your coverage is first class and the club and its supporters are very fortunate to have such a professional outfit providing a fantastic service, especially to those, like myself, who are unable to attend all home games.

I echo all the complimentary comments. You do a fabulous job, Tony. For a club at our level we really are spoiled to have such top quality filming to look at. And keep an eye out for Tony's amazing work on the video of the 2017-18 promotion season which will be launched later this year. The amount of work Tony put in to it is amazing. The least we can do is to give him a floor to stand on in the new filming tower.  |
