Tonight's game against Merthyr is massive, but I suggest we look a little further ahead at the crucial league games we have until the end of November before jumping to conclusions. The current bottom end of the league table is: 18th Beaconsfield - 13 points from 14 games 19th Dorchester - 12 from 14 20th Merthyr - 9 from 12 21st Kings Langley - 6 from 14 22nd Wimborne - 5 from 11. It's likely that the relegation battle will between these 5 teams, although it's possible that another team or two will have a bad run and join in.
Our next 7 league games are: 26/10 - Merthyr (home) 6/11 - Kings Langley (h) 13/11 - Hayes & Yeading (a) 16/11 - Dorchester (a) 20/11 - Beaconsfield (h) 23/11 - Met Police (h) 27/11 - Merthyr (a). On current form, we're unlikely to get anything from the two games against Hayes and Met, although Merthyr ended Met's unbeaten start to the season, which leaves 5 games where we could, and must, pick up points. If, by the end of next month, we're in the mix with the other four mentioned above, then we could have a reasonable chance of staying up.
Let's be positive and get behind James, Mark and the boys.
