I thought I would start this thread so that members can ask questions that another member maybe able to answer.
If members of this forum are unable to give an answer it may still be a good platform to start building a list of questions that can be raised at a Fans Forum.
1.) How many clubs in our league charge supporters to park?
2.) Who is in charge of commercial activities at the club?
3.) How was the 3G surface funded and how is it managed, what revenue does this generate for the club
4.) Why has an official ground opening game against prestigious opposition not be arranged.
5.) Why have the "ends and sides" of the ground not been named.
6.) To help with parking issues on match days have we approached Cobham with regards to using their carpark.

1] Dont know but Dorchester charge for Parking [ not sure of Poole as in the few times I've been its on a bike or by bus - but parking is on school grounds and there is undercover bike parking available]
2] According to the matchday programme the Commercial Director is Graham Bell
3] This may not be right but I understand there was a grant available [from the FA?] but because that would have tied us down to letting the pitch out to the general community then it was privately funded by the club.
4] Can't answer that
5] The end next to the houses could be the Constance Road end ; The other end - well how about the Smelly End
6] I know the boss of Cobham is not interested in Football but is a Rugby man. I suppose using their car park could be an issue with insurance etc. It would need a gate between the car park and the club land. [n.b. Football club Merley Cobham Sports is now a privately owned club and nothing to do with Cobham plc anymore]

Thanks Minsterman...
With regards to point 3 this may explain why the playing budget has to be set at the current level, if the club are having to service a loan / grant this will be making a large dent in any revenue generated.
Point 6 is very interesting and adds fuel to the rumour that Poole Town are in negotiations to move to this site.

Now that Brian "The Legend" Sibley has retired as groundman's who is looking after the pitch and doing general maintenance at the ground?

I may be wrong but I understood that the contractors [ Slaters?] are overseeing the pitch for 12 months after it was laid, and that a groundsman from AFCB is also helping

What about general maintenance to the building only I notice that one of the soap dispensers in the gents has come away from the wall and has been lying on the sink for the last three home games at least. Not a very promising start, especially in view of the enhanced hygiene policy with regard to Covid.

With regards to maintanance I would assume that it is someone's responsibility to inspect the ground regularly to ensure that Health and Safety criteria are being met.
With regards to the damaged soap dispenser has this been raised with the club? If not I would suggest an email.
As you rightly state this isn't a very promising start... If these type of issues are not kept on top of things can deteriorate rapidly.

Not only is there a broken soap dispenser in the gents but at the last home game the other two dispensers were out of soap. Plus the sinks and surrounds were very grubby. Also in one of the cubicles the pan had faeces all over it. Obviously dont know what the ladies were like but its a poor show.
