Tivvy's programme for yesterday's game was, as usual, very good. 52 pages for £2.50.
It contained 18 full-page, 10 half-page, and 2 quarter-page adverts for local companies. From the website I see that a full page ad is £300, half-page £200, quarter-page £100.
The prog told us: "You can sponsor a game for as little as £125 for four people ... all league games are sold out, but we are looking for Cup game sponsors. ... A match ball sponsorship is just £100, there is currently just one game left."
It also told us of the management and player sponsorships: of the 22 people displayed, 19 have both shirt, and, separately, boots sponsored.
The club has a main sponsor, and on the website it mentions 7 other club sponsors.
Not bad eh?

A switched on club reaching out to local business.it shows also the power of a match day programme to communicate with fans around sponsorship etc.

Need to maximise our new ground/facilities. We need match sponsors, ball sponsors etc etc. By bringing in this sponsorship it can be directed towards the first team budget and support/enhance the first team

With a new ground and increased attendances there shouldn't be any pitch side advertising still available as this should have been sold out!!!
I know that these are difficult times for business but if you don't get out and about and ask the question you will never know.
It seems to me that the club are waiting for people to come to them rather than being proactive... Perhaps the BOD are frightened that sponsors coming on board may rock their boat..

Naming the stands or putting hoardings up to stop further damage to the new stands would be good. Perhaps a go fund me and vote as to which fans names are chosen.the kev hart stand for one.

I think we can talk about and suggest things on here for ever without it ever influencing the BOD... Unfortunately I don't ever think that we will change the course of the BOD... they are so blinkered and one dimensional that any thought that a fans forum can come up with bright and better ideas then them scares them senseless and they are frighted that their empire will be infiltrated and found out.
Never before have a encountered a local football club to be so secretive and unwilling to engage openly with its supporters.

Yogi and I seem to be of the same opinion regarding BoD, lack of communication, sponsors etc etc. It might be that BoD are so enamoured of New Cuthbury, they expected businesses to be queueing up and beg to be allowed in to advertise their wares. A commercial manager wont be doing the job for the benefit of his health so until he has 'captured' around 3 times his salary, no benefit will attract to the First Team. Oh, I am assuming that would be where the income would, indeed should be spent - but will it? As Graham reports above, the Tivvy programme is replete and getting that volume of positive response would involve effort which thus far appears to have been lacking in BH21.

I would assume that a commercial manager at this level would be on a small salary and their earnings then made up with commission and OT bonuses... they would be responsible for promoting all club activities... 3G, clubhouse etc as well as selling advertising and hospitality.
As has been stated in this thread, there are so many money generating opportunities that are not being utilised... either through laziness or lack of skills / knowledge. If the new ground is not used as a bargaining tool soon it will be too late.
