Wimborne were left wondering how they came away from Ladysmead without at least a point.
Slack marking at a free-kick in time added-on at the end of the first half allowed Tiverton to score
the only goal of the game, while The Magpies could not convert any of their good chances.

Wimborne forced a corner in the very first minute, only for a poor delivery making the big defenders
journey into Tivvy's penalty area a wasted one. At the other end Lewis Beale raced back to avert
danger, and Callum Chugg made an excellent recovering tackle. Billy Terrell's low trajectory
clearance to Gunson on the right set up a Wimborne attack, while Dan Cann's quick thinking with a
throw-in very nearly set Beale away on the left. Back in defence Mark Jamison beat target-man
Immediately after Terrell had saved from Koszela when played through the middle on 17 minutes,
Wimborne had a good spell with Cann at the fulcrum holding the ball well. Connal Morrison, who
was his usual excellent self, cut inside only for his weak shot to be easily saved by Williams;

Then on 28 minutes Wimborne had their best chance - Beale was put through the inside-right
channel but with just the keeper to beat he skied his shot over the bar. Just three minutes later the
Magpies had another good opportunity, this time Gunson, from the right corner of the box, pulled
his shot wide of the far post. After Koszela had fired a stinging shot wide, Harry Morgan drove
forward but could not find the target, and substitute Addwell could only head Jamie Henry's free-
kick wide. Dan Strugnell made a necessary clearing header before his defence succumbed deep
into time added-on at the end of the half. Wright went down far too easily just outside the box on
the right and referee Gould gave the free-kick. Morrison's perfectly flighted ball found Lam
unmarked beyond the far post. He headed down, Terrell saved only for Koszela to poke home the
Tiverton took that momentum into the second period, and for the next quarter had the better of the
game. On 56 minutes Terrell, under pressure, couldn't hold a high cross and the rebound was fired
wide; Koszela made space to fire wide; and Hayfield's low shot was well-saved. At the mid-point of
the half, Terrell made a super save with his feet from Morrison, before Wright headed wide from a

stretchered away. With Tivvy down to ten men, Wimborne sensed a real opportunity for an
