Since we've left Cuthbury and moved into the new stadium there's been no noise for the boys, behind the goals. And yet there's been an increase in home supporters behind the goals but almost complete silence. Unlike the Poole Town and Farnborough supporters who encouraged their teams with some great singing. I can't even remember the drum being used that much.
Have the Board discouraged this, particularly banning the one supporter who was a catalyst for others to join him in the the singing and drum beating, and was known around the league for his true passion and support, who supported the team through thick and thin, good calls and bad calls, good plays and terrible plays. Being so passionate, allied with his medical condition which was not properly understood, got him in trouble with club and he was devestated in being banned.
At least it's good to see the club flags are still getting shown at each end of the ground.

Coaksey is a big loss to the club.would love to see him back but he is happy doing Blandford social media. Missed about two games in 3 seasons and also attracted a lot of fans to the club.

I understand from a reliable source that drums are not permitted due to the close proximity of the housing estate.
The housing estate is also the reason why evening games now have a 7:30pm KO as the lights have to be off by 10pm.

Interesting thread! I absolutely agree that the atmosphere behind the goal has not been the same this season (or since Luke has moved on to Blandford). I love the fact that he is getting the recognition and applause for everything he does at Blandford and above all he feels appreciated for what he is doing. Given this why would he come back to Wimborne? Notwithstanding this why does the atmosphere rely on one person? The flags were passed on by Luke and have been put up whenever possible (home and away) The atmosphere at the Poole game was not made by the Poole fans but was made the Development players watching their mates getting an opportunity playing for the first Team. Quite frankly they were brilliant and sang there hearts out especially in the first half. They play on Saturdays and cant necessarily be at the First Team games. Instead of saying the atmosphere is not the same (but then not doing anything) we need to move on and start a new atmosphere. We can use the same songs and chants but someone needs to be the catalyst for this. I hope Luke will be back sometime and will join in again but in the meantime.......... In relation to the drum this has similarly been passed on by Luke and has sometimes been brought into the ground. As suggested there is an issue around its use especially at evening games which is understood. The banging of cladding is potentially more loud than any drum some would say. I think the real point is don't moan about a lack of atmosphere and then don't do anything to change the atmosphere. The Poole game showed what is the art of the possible but it was brought about by the youngters. Encourage them to come, sing loudly and proudly, not to much effing and jeffing and the atmosphere can and should be the best in the League. The atmosphere can only be made by us the fans and doesn't (and shouldn't rely on one individual)
