Another game, another heavy defeat.
Last 10 games, 9 defeats and a 0-0 draw. Never mind, the 3 man Stokoe fan club will be on here soon to tell us all that we are improving and that he knows what he’s doing.

Well.. a game of two halves for me… not sure what constitutes a heavy defeat these days… but the first half saw a fighting side against a well disciplined side… and our Wimborne players were up for a game… Weston came out for the second half displaying the skills demonstrated at the ‘rain stop play’ of their previous visit…. And yes we made some mistakes and it was a disappointing final 45mins… think the regular fans were expecting a higher score line… for sure…. so there’s a positive. But glad Graham writes the match reviews… to get a positive and balanced view of the games. Chin up everyone… the players and the management team still need our support…

I’m going to take a bow of silence on this one as you did after Saturdays good performance and the team being clapped off but you didn’t comment on that game did you.

Yes I have been one of those, but we have to stop. We may not like it, but decisions have been made.

In case you didn’t notice, we lost the game 4-1 on Saturday so I’m not quite sure what you wanted me to say. For me it just showed how low we have come as a club with the standards we have set that half of you celebrated that like a victory. If you are happy with 9 defeats and 1 draw in the last 10 games and think that we are turning the corner and doing better since the takeover and the increased playing budget then you have a flawed argument.

Just wondered why you decided to take a day of from battering the manager on Saturday and back on it last night? Yes we lost, look at the team we’re now playing games with we had the bloody freak brothers on the bench last night, Anyway as Webster says decision has been made you can’t change it Gemma so moan as much as you like it’s really not getting or going to get you anywhere but I do hope it makes you feel better

Never mind, the 3 man Stokoe fan club will be on here soon to tell us all that we are improving and that he knows what he’s doing. As potentially one of the 3 man Stokoe fan club as I have never called for his head I would just add that if you read all the numerous posts about the management it has been about giving the current team a fair chance, having a level playing field compared to the rest of the teams in the League. It has never been blind loyalty to James and Mark but a fair assessment of what they were given and the realistic chances they were offered. Next year if the the new BOD give them the tools they need we shall all see and be able to have a fair and nalanced assessment of the management team. I hope they show what they can do given the same backing of the teams around them. With regard to last night the second half was very poor. First half showed what we can do and when we have a go we can compete. The early second for WSM finished the lads off and game was gone. In terms of the missing players Chugg is suspended, Curtis is away I believe, Jack is injured, Jamison not sure and Jez not sure although I thought he was on an early team sheet so may have got injured in warm up?? Mid season management changes do not always work such as Merthyr, no great improvement in Dorch. At the top level look at Everton, Norwich and Watford. The only exception is Newcastle Get behind the team. What you will see know is a clear out and the start of the rebuild. I wouldn’t expect us to take major scalps for the remainder of the season as it looks like the the prep for next season has already started. It wouldn’t surprise me to see other departures and use of the reserves. The results therefore will probably not get significantly better. That will not be down to budget etc but realism that we have already started again in prep for next season. All we should expect is fight and determination from all involved Get behind the team all. That’s why we are all here!

The second half last night was worse than awful. Such a disappointment after the buzz around the ground after Saturday. One thing is for sure, the club have a huge job on their hands in the summer in regards to recruitment. Excluding the 3 already signed, it probably needs to be a whole new squad for next season!

This is why I think the manager isn’t the problem, set the boys up on Saturday and the system worked same as first half yesterday, unfortunately the players can’t put consistent performances in game to game half to half.
Recruitment is going to be a massive part of the summer but if the budget is competitive hopefully we can get better players in that we missed out on last summer

Last night really was very disappointing or more accurately the second half. I have to admit I only paid a tenner in the "pay what you want" initiative as the offering being served up just now isn't worth more IMO. That said the reality is that this season is toast. We are going down and the rebuild has started. It's clear James and Mark have had one arm tied behind their back this season so I'm happy to give them a go next season in the expectation that things improve. I think that's the only pragmatic stance you can take as the decisions have been made now. Btw was the crowd really 302 last night? Didn't look that big but fair play if that's correct as Farnborough only had 321 for The visit of Dorch. The wimborne fans have been very loyal this season - it needs to be rewarded next year!

Here we go buckle up as I think a few feathers need to be ruffled ! its definitely not all about knocking the first team set up, everyone stop playing keyboard warriors and hiding behind false names to have a dig at who they feel like ! If you have something to say fantastic but let everyone know who’s behind the comments ? Wimborne has alway been run like a old gentleman’s club plenty of you scratch my back and I will scratch yours it’s been going on for years some say that’s how we’ve always done it !, Now in 2022 Wimborne FC needs to move forward as the set up is now a extremely profitable business if run properly, with Lee and his team taking over at the club I’m sure this will happen but these things take time, at the moment we have so many clubs within the club, Youth, Development, Btec Academy, Club Shop, Bar and Catering, 3G, all being run as I see it in the past without anyone to answer too, I’m not the treasurer but even with my small understanding there is a lot of money being generated at the club but it’s not going towards the first team ! Why’s that surely the first team should be top of every conversation regarding where all the funds should be going ? The way the players / coaching staff walked off the pitch last night can you honestly say they didn’t care ?

Many many years ago, the club had a very profitable youth section making good money through fund raising events, skittle nights, tournaments, sponsorship etc. The first team were struggling but didn't have the funds to sign players. The BOD took what funds had been raised by the youth section and used it for first team requirements. This upset the youth managers who saw the rewards from their hard work taken and used elsewhere. The youth section then set up accounts away from the grasp of the first team finance people. That was then, this is now. If the same system is in place, I can understand it. Just trying to shed some light on the funding situation.

I remember about your comments re the Youth funds being used and then returned to the relevant youth teams, back then there was only the age group teams at the club only some teams that were correctly run had funds in there accounts most had nothing thus the reason when the youth money was taken some teams had money taken others didn’t, if I remember some teams didn’t pay there pitch cost at QE school and the club had to help settle the account, the youth section has hundreds of children going through there books on a daily basis at the club now with age group, development and Btec Academy teams now at the club.
