So basically we arent going to be able to sign any more players until the season has finished [ does this include loan players ?] and several have jumped ship - so we are going to be weakened even more for the remaining games. We can't sign anyone after 5pm today... even if we could what difference would it make?... We are going down regardless.. The players that have left this week are obviously not in the managers plans for next season so the decision has been made to allow them to find new clubs and for the club to save a few pennies on wages. Makes the signing on John White even stranger.. unless there is something in place for him to be involved next season. |

Your the only one who has mentioned anything about it being strange or worthwhile. Why are you questioning the signing? Maybe he knows James and is doing him a favour, maybe it’s not costing the club anything, maybe it is but what a player to watch and what a great experience for the players we’re keeping playing and learning from him. |

If John White is playing for free then fantastic, its a great opportunity for the players and management team to learn from an experienced pro.
However what would be the point in paying him substantial wages when the outcome of our season has already been decided, would you water a dead plant?
Please don't ask why I am questioning the signing as if you are some sort of communist dictator who has power over what is questioned and discussed, we live in a democracy where forums such as this allow people the freedom of thought and speech.

You can have your opinion im not saying that im just asking why twice you’ve said, why are we signing someone like this and the fact the club have let others go that signing John is even stranger signing. If the management or players they keep gain 1%/10% knowledge from him being around then it’s a massive help going forward. We won’t ever know the ins and outs of the deal but that’s non of our business and James and the board would do it if it wasn’t worth whilst surely. |
