Just in case my earlier post didn’t appear as a reply!!! Woah Merleymagpie! Please look at all of my posts. My agreement with Jack was about stability and moving forward. I value everyone’s thoughts and comments on this Forum and despite not agreeing with everything that’s what I love about football. If you think my comments have been or are condescending I apologise because that has never been the intention. I don’t think I have an allegiance to the management but I have had the opportunity to talk to them at times. They were dealt a hand of cards that could not have been considered a Royal Flush. They have been backed now and my position is that they should be backed too. The management have been given an opportunity to keep the club in this league this year or ( given they were not given the same opportunity as most) if relegation does happen all of next season to get us back. I think this is the Boards message by an 18 month contract. The management that sometimes get a hard time on this Forum gets a small wage from the club for the two of them. That is my understanding. For this they have to travel to train at Wimborne on a Tuesday ( if no game) and on a Thursday. Then there is travel and time away from their family every Saturday and a lot of Tuesdays. Us fans do this for the love of it and can stop at any point. James and Mark could decide not to do this for the level of recompense they get but somehow they decide to keep going given all the grief they get. We must remember that this is not their living and Wimborne Town FC does not pay their mortgage. All I have ever seen is the same passion from them that we all have for this club. They have 18 months to prove it. The next six months is get us out of jail which is not impossible. If this happens the next 12 months should be consolidate and look forward to competing at the top end of the table. If the worst happens next year promotion should be the goal of the Board if they back the management. Judge them on a full season If anyone thinks I have been condescending I again apologise as this has never been my intention. Unfortunately I have to miss tomorrows game as I have to isolate. Having dodged the Covid bullet for almost 2 years it has winged me! Hope to be at Weston next week. Please get behind them tomorrow. We showed we can do it in the second half at theirs earlier in the season. Btw their Manager is Tony Gale’s ( A Hammer) son. He said to me at the away game how impressed he was with Wimborne and their fighting spirit. He also mentioned that his budget was significantly higher than ours (at the time). In response to previous posts they do talk about budget! I hope everyone turns up tomorrow and cheers the lads and the management on. I will be listening on Radio Wimborne and receiving updates from Juniorhamner! #believe I see all sides to the debate. I hope I am wrong, but suspect that I am not. As much as I like James, I just don't think he has what is needed, not only to stay up but even to do well if and when we go down. I see all sides to the debate. I hope I am wrong, but suspect that I am not. As much as I like James, I just don't think he has what is needed, not only to stay up but even to do well if and when we go down. Good luck to wtfc today shall be keeping an eye on the score Keep up, I can I stand your bit on jakes at this level as yes the team have lost majority of games but why do you think he can’t do it at a lower level? I could mention a number of things in my view. It is incidental now as the board have stuck their colours to the mast. So I don't wish to say anymore and let the next 18 months speak for themselves. If I am wrong I will own up and apologise. If I am right.. Well no one cares about what I say anyway. At least this space gives us the room to debate |

At least this space gives us the room to debate So because the board have said they backing the manager you don’t want to put your views to why the manager can’t get the team up if the go down. |
